Yesterday there was an event from YCombinator and the gist of it was, you get the access to all the mentors you need..besides the 4k alumni and eventual VC's. I thought these two things are brilliant, since you're tackling on the global problem, whereas they have a localized one (you literally have to go to SF in U.s.a.)
That being said....would you...please....be ...my deep learning mentor?
Going through fast.ai and other (all) material on the web and looking at Kaggle, and it seems a bit daunting to self-steer through this learning period.

Hey!
I think there are different kinds and ranges of mentorships. Mentorship for a business person (as YC provides it) differs a lot from Engineering mentorship (which is probably a lot closer to coaching).
Deep Learning Engineer damn hell of a title, must have some cool jobs. I feel like I'm missing out not being part of that crowd but I know I'm bad at math haha as in struggled under Calc3.
I like the platform! I quickly browsed the available engineers, it's great to see so many people sign up. I think where you could build good value is in the more experienced levels of mentoring. I'm not sure if you're targeting beginner developers who are just starting out (probably an easier market) or engineers who are a few years into their career and looking for some guidance on getting to the next level. Personally, I'd find the latter more useful and you'd probably be able to charge more for those types of mentorship arrangements. Cheers!

Hey Oleg, nice to meet you!
We definitely target both and I think what I can take away from your feedback is to signal the experience of each mentor, which now takes some browsing and research.
If you are in for a mentorship, feel free to contact me via info@mentorcruise.com and I'll help you on your search!

Hi Dominic. Great yo hear your story! I am also building a mentor mentee platform specific to photography. https://www.fellowphotographer.co/ But i am also struggling to get mentors who would allow to tag mentees with them to events so they can learn! Tried fb groups and stuff. So i can truly resonate to your effort in getting mentors! Congrats!

I'm actually mentoring on MentorCruise myself! You should totally check out all our Machine Learning mentors https://mentorcruise.com/mentor/browse/?search=Machine+Learning&tagsearch=Engineering+%26+Data - many of which probably have a lot more experience than I have ;)
