Help needed for Landing Page Process / Practices Research

Hello everyone!

First and foremost, praises for Indie Hacker :) Its enough of a motivation to be part of such helping & active community in itself.

Being a developer, I always struggle with creating a landing page.

If I try to do manually, I end up spending time hosting, designing, making it mobile responsive.

If I try any creator (from many different options) those ends up being too complicated and over engineered for rather simple needs of a landing page.

What are your thoughts?

I am doing market analysis / market gap research for Landing Page Process / Practices, for finding a niche / problem (AKA Product Market Fit)

If you have experience with Landing pages, would appreciate your 5 minute time for taking this survey.

I will be sharing some analysis if I receive enough entries. Please suggest some other questions / options in the comments here. Would love to receive any feedback I get.

I think wordpress is best way to create a landing page.

I use Google Cloud free program, so get 300$ credit to spend for 1 year. It is more than enough to host a wordpress server.

After that, I use theme from https://oshinewptheme.com

This is really beautiful yet simple and easy to use theme.

The result is I made this site https://www.adrevise.com in 4 hours.

      Few questions:

      What plugins did you use?

Why you wouldn't use something like Caard, Squarespace or Unbounce?

      1. 1

        I use plugin from https://oshinewptheme.com

There are 2 reasons I choose Wordpress(WP) over other solutions:

        1. Cost:

As I said, I used Google Cloud free program, install WP in Google Cloud using Google Cloud Launcher is easy, it took me only 5 minutes.

I only have to pay for it one time (about 30$), and use it forever.

Total cost is 30$ for running the MVP in about a year, which is much cheaper than other services like Caard, Squarespace, Unbounce

        1. Flexible:

WP is well known for it easy to use and easy to customize.

I did not have experience with WP before, but I could set up a landing page and a blog with it in about 4 hours.

WP also have many plugins to add more feature like: pop up for asking subscriber, adding chat services like freshchat, intercom, tracking with Facebook Pixel...

Did you try carrd.co? I'm gonna use it for my Bootstrapping In a Nutshell articles series. It seems very easy to use.

Yup, I did try that. It is really good.

It is what I have a taken as a reference.

Will be sharing landing page of the idea (this post)
