Hey Everyone, what kind of project managment software do you use?

Which project managemnet software do you use & what features do you like about it & what new features do you want to be included for your business?

I'm with ClickUp, so I use ClickUp of course. Super helpful and easy to use. Every team in your org can use it from dev to marketing to ops. We've had incredible growth this year and this is how we stack up:

    Trello: https://clickup.com/trello-alternative

    JIRA: https://clickup.com/jira-alternative

    Asana: https://clickup.com/asana-alternative

  2. 4

Notion.so has everything I need. For large projects I use JIRA. Sometimes I try Trello & Asana.

    1. 2

Can't say enough good things about Notion!

    2. 1

I tried Notion once, imported everything from Asana, tried it for 3 days and loved it. After 3 days, one of my teammates asked me if I'm stuck on a task.

I wish it synced with Asana :(

    3. 1

Is it just for project management or cash flow management , budgeting as well?

    4. 1

Would love to learn more about how you use Notion. I've been a power user for a while now but curious to know how others are using it. Do you mind if I DM/email you?

      1. 1

Actually I'm not having any magic setup. You can take a look at their templates. I build my workspace from that.

  3. 4

I wanted to pitch in slightly differently into this conversation.

Looking at the current trend of project management tools and the complexity that they have at usage, I decided to start building my own project management tool.

As of date, we have a good working prototype ready with about 2k users and people are loving our solution as a lighter alternative to Jira. We were featured on PH on the day of launch and since then we have been listening to our user feedback and have continued to improve our product.

I am happy to get feedback from users here. Do give a try by visiting - https://codegiant.io

Really slick logo and homepage @rishikmathur Who did it for you? I have an upcoming project that I need a homepage for...

    2. 1

Nice product. Out of interest, how long have you been working on codegiant? Are you solo or part of a team?

Also, this might be nitpicking, but your kanban board feels a little cramped, and the chamfering on the thick left boarders on the todo item cards is getting to me. I'd suggest modifying the page slightly as in here: https://imgur.com/a/gtHfOjt

  4. 2

At LambdaTest.com we use Jira for project and bug management.

  5. 1

    I'd second Trello & Notion!

I’d say ProofHub! The most feature rich, professional and easy to use tool in the market right now. With ProofHub, your teams, clients and all the project communication stays in one place. There's no need of investing in too many different tools to run your business. This project management software makes it easy to create plans, collaborate with teams and clients, keep things organized and deliver projects on time. I worked with them twice together with my best webhosting provider ever Zomro.net https://zomro.net/ We were a great team I should say

  7. 1

clickup, I'll never go back to asana.

  8. 1

We use Trello for most part, but I must say chatting with your team, sharing files and assigning quick tasks with https://fleep.io has been a game changer for us.

  9. 1

    Trello is universal. :)

  10. 1

Asana + Slack + Github (sorry to be boring and non exotic)

  11. 1

    Trello works for me

    1. 1

Do it have cash flow management as well?

  12. 1

    Github's projects Kanban board.

  13. 1

I use Github and/or Gitlab. Issues, Milestones, Projects / Kanban board and I'm good to go. Don't need or want complicated features, especially when it's just me, or me +1-3 others.

  14. 1

    pivotal tracker.

  15. 1

I'm building my own interestingly enough, https://getartemis.app. It's an open source PM API with an optional kanban style front end, I'm still developing it.

  16. 1

Azure DevOps is a really cool, free option. Has agile methods built in, deployment, testing, source control via git, and kanban board sort of task management.

  17. 1

Jira. Though right now it's early days so it's just a kanban project, and so could easily be any other kanban board like trello etc. After the first release I'll be switching to a scrum project, and I may also migrate to bitbucket at that point to take advantage of integrations.

  18. 1

    We are using Taiga

  19. 1

I love Basecamp (https://basecamp.com) although it might be pricey for small teams and you will probably run into problems with huge teams.

  20. 1

Codegiant is extremely simple to use and it a lighter alternative to Jira. It is least complex and easy to get started.

  21. 1

I do everything in Github these days.

Issues + Kanban board has almost everything I need.

If you're looking for an additional features (epics, estimations, depencies) look into Zenhub.

    1. 0

      What is Kanban?

  22. 1

    For small projects:

Trello for task management. Simple and clear app. About features i like... integration with calendar and TODO lists

    For big projects:

I was working with Redmine (quite complicated) and Jira (better one, really). But still Trello is my number one :)

  23. 1

    I use Trello

I run several boards to help me organise my side projects like https://trolley.link - without Trello I'd be lost.

Usually one board for tech and one for product / marketing, per project.

Nothing fancy; columns are usually "Long Term", "To Do", "Doing" and "Done".

I make a lot of use of the Checklist feature, and attachments to cards (frequently Google Drive link attachments)
