How do you capture/automate/display metrics?

I wonder how do you guys go about automating the capture of metrics such as signups/DAU/MAU and similar custom metrics you may have?

Right now, for everyday.app I use GA for traffic metrics and Stripe for Revenue metrics and have a few predefined queries to check the forementioned metrics against my db. However, I'd like to automate this and have some metrics dashboards, something like baremetrics but more affordable. I'm even considering setting a cronjob to make such requests at the end of the day and having an excel sheet plot graphs for me. So, what's the simplest way to go about this? How do you solve this problem? :)
