Hi IndieHackers
My name's Connor and I'm building a project called Employbl, a site for job seekers to find companies in the Bay Area. Right now candidates can request access by filling out a Google Form and after they're approved they can login and create the rest of their profile with work experience etc. The idea is that ultimately employers will log into their dashboard and find candidates for a monthly fee to access the candidate profiles.
Recently I've had people reaching out that are interested in contributing. I've been adding some of my friends to the GitHub repo to take a look at the code but I'm the only contributor at the moment. I've formed a Delaware C corp and I'm the only person on the deed. I haven't started charging for the project yet so no money is changing hands. I'm worried it's more of a distraction to ramp up or onboard random people to help out without paying them.
Has anyone gotten coding help from the community on a non-open source project and had it work out? How many people did you have contributing?
Thanks IH!
