As a digital marketing profesionals working in optimization projects for a few years, being up to date with all relevant changes that could affect the KPIs we're accountable for has always been a pain point for my peers and I.
Our approach to be properly informed has always been the same: making use of google analytics annotations and keeping shared spreadsheets up to date to keep track of everything we can.
However, being this a manual process we end up having inconsistent annotations and we always miss important things in our reports, specially those related with code deployments and so on.
We'd like to know if this is a problem for other digital professionals as you guys:
Is annotating a big pain point for you?
Do you think this is a problem that should be solved?
Would you give a SaaS product addressing this issue a try?
Do you think there is a potential & relevant market for a product of this kind?
