How do you write legal copy for your site?

Hi all,

I'm getting to the point where I need to write the terms and conditions /privacy policy for my product and I'm wondering how other indie hackers go about this? Do you write it yourself (yay indie) or go through a professional lawyer? (expensive)

If you're writing them yourself - what do you base them on? What goes into each of them?

I found Automattics legal docs are actually open source, which seems like a good place for me to start: https://github.com/Automattic/legalmattic

I'm planning on using termly.io for soccercruit.com - super easy to use and GDPR supported out of the box

    Hey Ian

I had the same issue ... and have seen this issue pop up from time to time on Indie Hackers.

I'm about to launch and will let you know when we do: www.lawvolcano.com
