Sharing your pre-launch efforts goes to show that 80% of the work in marketing the launch of a product is done before it's released. More people need to understand that and this is an awesome example.

Thanks for the comment, Andrew! Yeah it's quite tough to work on promotion of a non-existing product but might be worth the effort!

Love this. So detailed. And I think MVPs are so useful for UI/UX. It reminds you to build off of what the customer wants as opposed to what you think they want.

Really cool website! What did you use for the video tutorials? It looks a lot like Vimeo.

Thanks! 🙌Yup, this is Vimeo!

Did you a theme? Would appreciate the info since I will be doing something w/videos down the road. Thankss

Is the question if I used any template for the site/player? Nope, 100% custom built.

This was great! My team and I are in the early stages of building our product and we're trying different methods to get people to our 'coming soon' page. This gave me some great ideas.

Happy to hear this, thank you! ✌️

Such a great writeup as were going to launch courses soon over at SaaSpnr.io as well. I have a question for you. How and why did you decided on the monthly subscription model versus just selling the courses for a set amount of price? How did you decide on the $8 price? It really seems like your priced too low for the quality of videos. @jeffdh

Hey Travis - initially I offered $8/mo but only in yearly plan ($96 prepaid). Then I experimented with $10/mo cancel anytime and this was the moment I gained momentum. So I decided to leave it. Not sure about the price, still. I know the quality stands out, on the other hand there are plenty of sites offering training from similar subjects in about this price, or a bit higher with much more content. It's difficult to judge the quality before subscribing I guess. And $10 is the amount that doesn't stand out in your monthly bills that much ;)

Cool writeup - lots of details for someone to learn from!

Absolutely amazing and comprehensive analysis. Great work on the site! True passion for something always shines through in the end product. I'm trying to figure out UI/UX design for my site medsiri.com at the moment and I'm sure your website will be an invaluable resource. Thanks for posting this Greg!
