Smiling will make you feel better, we all know this. However there are only few times when we use this resource.
My goal in life is to have a positive impact in the life of millions of people and this is a small step towards that goal.
What do you think about this mood booster?
I just learned something important testing out this project with people around. Many people are reluctant to provide access to their cameras. I think I need to improve the way I communicate why I need the permission. Do you have any suggestions?
Why u need an access to my camera to make me happy?
Hey @Pptpedia, thank you very much for trying it out. It asks for your camera because that's the only way to check whether you are smiling or not.
I came up with the idea 2 days ago and asked on IH if I should build it. I decided to build it but I didn't think that people will be very concerned about the use of their camera. Something I learned really fast by sharing with friends around.
I added a section where I say that
No picture is saved. Not a single picture gets stored anywhere
No picture is shared. No one can see any picture
No camera tricks. You can see when the camera is being used.
I'm planning to have a 'smiles counter' where people will see in near-real time how many times people have smiled for at least 4 seconds.
How do you feel after reading my explanation? Is https://autenti.ca/smile something that you would be willing to try after reading it?
Thanks again for taking the time to review the site and share your concern.
Interesting app, @jonathanmv. How did you come out with this idea?
I really want to have a positive impact in the life of millions of people and this seemed to be a good MVP. Let's see how it goes.
What other ideas do you think will have a positive impact in the life of millions of people @ManuelZapata?
