How many people here use Stripe for payment processing?

Hey guys -

I am considering incorporating a payment processing service in my product. Would you recommend Stripe or any other service?

Would be great to hear your thoughts on what drove you to pick the service you are using.

Thanks in advance.

I use Stripe and love it! Like @Keith Holliday said, it's much easier to use and has tons of features.

      Thanks G Riar.

I use Stripe and have used Paypal and Amazon as well.

Stripe is much easer than the other two, imo. Also, if you are doing recurring billing, Stripe has tons of ease and features.

I've looked into Braintree a bit (from Paypal) and it seems to also be a good alternative, but I can't personally recommend.

      THanks Keith. Very helpful.

Stripe and just started to incorporate BrainTreePayments (Paypal) as an additional option. Took me about a few weeks to get it all down to a fair science, but finally learned it ;)

    It just works.

I actually looked no further than Stripe: it was easy to integrate, it worked, it looks good and it inspires confidence.

    What more do you need?

Thats good to know. Just trying to figure out why do some people chose other providers. Is there anything I am missing before I make the decision to implement Stripe?

I think most people pay by credit card, and are confused by PayPal, which seems to require a PayPal account, but doesn't in fact require one.

Stripe is simple: you enter your credit card details and you pay. The less friction, the better.

That's an interesting observation Mark. Thanks.

New user here. First reply: it's about the diversity of choise. It's easy for the user to pay maybe with PayPal because the user don't have a Stripe account.

I spent today implementing the "add/replace card" flow using Stripe Billing for my SaaS product. Pretty smooth experience. Their website is well organized, as are the documentation and api. Testing is a pleasant experience too. I highly recommend it.

      Thank you Heliodor.

Also, Stripe has a great support as well. Will help you if you get stuck somewhere!

And as someone else pointed out, it inspires confidence. I put "Securely powered by Stripe" in fine print under the CC form to let the user know.

We use Stripe and it's pretty awesome. Especially with the new Stripe Billing. It is super easy to integrate.

Thanks Noah. Stripe seems to be the hot favorite.

As far as payment processing goes, Stripe is known as one of the best hands-down. It typically supports the most countries and its rates are standard (2.9% + $0.30/transaction).

The only downside might be that they tend to less negotiable on getting a better rate if you have a high volume of transactions.

You'll likely still need a billing system, however, and it's important to know that the two are different.
