How to Come Up With Profitable Online Business Ideas
Earlier this week I asked what question you'd like to see successful founders answer, and a lot of you chimed in. This is our first attempt at putting together an actual round table question. (We started working on this one before I asked the question, btw.)
There's still some work to go to flesh this out, and I'll try to keep this page updated over time by regularly adding new answers, filters, etc. It'd also be cool to make it so those of you with product pages can submit answers. We'll obviously ask new questions and create new pages in the future, too.

adding a missing feature to a platform
internet marketing saas
copied a website and added a missing feature
micro feedback as a service
Copying a website and adding a feature is great for someone who spends their time becoming a better software craftsperson.
Micro feedback as a service is a fascinating market I had never considered. Exceptional creativity there. Could be applied generally to many domains. PullRequest is doing code review as a service which is a great example of applying it to another specific domain.
What other businesses could be created via these business models?
Your observation parallels what I’ve seen as well in the wild. Certain market categories seem to consistently make the big bucks.

I'm a really big fan of this format on Tim Ferriss's podcast, and these are great too.
One useful filter would be type of product or service—is it a web app, native app, an info product, a blockchain product, or Amazon FBA (physical product)?
I looked at some of the higher earners to see how many were mobile apps and couldn't tell very easily.
Agreed, will add that soon.
