I arrived in a new country with $100. Now I'm CPO in a fast-growing legal tech.

    Congrats Jarek! Great story

    1. Is your company fully bootstrapped?

    2. How are you different in compare to DocuSign or similar?

    3. What are your plans (roadmap) for the product development in 2018/2019

    Thanks!

      Thanks !

      1. No but we did it lean. We started with a small friends and family round to build the first versions and managed to get the first paying users. From there we have raised an angel round to support the growth.

      2. We are an all-in-one-solution that covers the whole process compared to DocuSign which is mostly a digital signature tool. That means the platform also facilitates contract creation (with contract templates and an editor etc.) and organized cloud-storage (including reminders, notifications). Furthermore, with Contractbook Suits we have created a more complex team-structure that enables lawyers and bookkeepers to administer, review and monitor their client's legal documents.

      3. We have just released a bunch of new features to accommodate the lawyers and their complex needs. We will certainly make the platform more flexible with an improved editor, a comments function which also makes it a good negotiation tool, a more flexible team structure and we also have a bunch of integrations coming up.

There is a lot to-do and this is only 2018. We are in constant talks with the law firms and try as good as we can to implement the features they request. As things are going pretty fast ATM, I can't even say which features are going to be released in the beginning of 2019 :D

How did you survive literally the first week in Copenhagen with only $100 ?

Haha! I knew a person that lived in like a dorm container near DTU (not as terrible as it sounds), and had a mattress where I could sleep for a few weeks. On one of the first days, I went to a Public Employment Office to find a job, and outside the building, I heard two guys talk in Polish. I approached them and asked if they knew about some work. I had a CV and could prove that I had done some practical work back in Poland, so Gladly, they could get me some construction work. :)

Otherwise, the crime rates are low, and the tap water is fresh, so Copenhagen is not that difficult to survive in. :D

If you arrived with $100, how much will you be leaving with?
