Went from 1 to 2 :)
Next goal is 4!
I'll take the small wins where I can get them.

Haha, this made me laugh (in a good way). Great post title. Congrats and good luck :)!

This would make a great medium post title: 'How I doubled the user count for my app in just three days' :D

paying users that pay the site, perpetual money

It feel a like Christmas up in here. I needed this kind of energy when my largest paying customer cancelled his subscription last month
1
Fear not, you'll find another! or maybe a lot of smaller customers instead. Whats your app/service?
2
Congrats! If you keep doubling you users each day, you'll be bigger than Facebook in a month!!! I believe in you Russ

But I want to keep doubling my users for a year! Mathematics be damned.

Pretty funny 😄... Congratulations 🎊🍾

If you want to set a sequence of next targets I would suggest Fibonacci rather than doubling the count every time. I’m not sure what’s the app you’ve got but Fibonacci has been proven a more realistic expectation for users growth on my projects.
2
I agree, that would certainly be a more realistic expectation - but i'm not a realist :)
2
Hell yeah! Working on getting my first.

Oh yeah? I checked out your profile but couldn't find a link to it. Wanna share? I built a TA backtesting platform (in rails, no less) so i'm curious what you're up to.

I signed up just to thank you for this post. What a wonderful way to look at things!

wow thanks so much! It means a lot to me.

You should do a 100% increase press release pronto!
lol..what's the app...let be your number 3, share me the download link.

I'd appreciate you taking a look, https://hudmoji.com - no download, it's a webapp

Congrats, celebrating every victory is key to keep up the good work ;)

It's the small things, love it! Nice work!

Hahahaha. You won.
I tried the app, and to be completely honest is very confusing. I recommend doing some usability testing.
-How did you find your first users?
-Are the users actually using the app?

thanks! I really appreciate you taking a look and giving feedback. WHat was confusing for you - what to do with the app, or how to do it? The former (what to do) is where i surmise I need more work around.
50% of my users are daily users :)

I don't get what it is for. How does it make my life better?
I see emojis and I click on them, but I don't know why I'm doing it or how I can benefit from the app. Maybe add some description or explanation somewhere.

Stoico,
awesome - thanks for the feedback! invaluble. I'll have to think more about what sort of messaging I want to use and how to improve onboarding so that stuff is all more obvious.
