I posted Turn to /r/WeAreTheMusicMakers yesterday. Here's the results.

First of all, thank you all for the initial feedback on Turn when I posted my original thread here less than a week ago:

Yesterday, I wrote a new Medium blog which serves as a sort of Tutorial on how Turn works:

https://medium.com/@leemartin/how-to-share-audio-on-instagram-with-turn-3e088495d3a9

I then casually posted it to the musicians subreddit /r/WeAreTheMusicMakers.

Here are the high level stats after 16 hours.

  • 9.5k views

  • 1.5k views on Medium post

  • 657 reads of Medium post (40%)

  • 722 new users to Turn

  • 100 new videos created with Turn

Most importantly, I have put together a list of over 20 possible features.

I'd say the two biggest initial takeaways are the fact that some folks are confused that this is a web app and not something they can find in the app store. I will do a better job at clarifying this on the mobile site. In addition, it seems clear that folks would consider paying to remove the watermark.

I will carefully look over the list and try to find an easy high value target to tackle next.

Nice job Lee! I am keen to see some tech blog posts about how you created it. More specifically the AWS process of creating the video!
