    Awesome Ben, thank you!

I run a Stripe metrics dashboard at https://www.simpleytics.com and I’d love a list of contacts at SaaS that use Stripe for payments. They would be a Founder/CEO/CFO, 1-100 employees, US/Canada/Europe, and some keywords would include: SaaS, developer, Stripe, software. My email is ricky@simpleytics.com. Thanks!

      Hey Daniel,

At first I wasn't completely sold on your product but after a closer look it actually seems very smart! I think you might want to make your app seem as simple as possible - your platform from your website seems, and pardon me, very complicated. You may want to consider finding a way to demonstrate its ease of use. I can refer a talented and reasonably priced designer if you are interested.

Regardless. I am cooking your list for you - what email should I send it to?

      Thank you and kind regards

      Ben

      1. 2

Thanks Ben, I appreciate the feedback. I'd be interested in your designer suggestion, as we've put a lot of effort into making sure the product itself is pretty simple to use. We definitely want that to come out in our description of it.

daniel@dabblefox.com would be best, and thanks again!

I'm looking for artists and art students looking to improve their (comic) illustration skills. (Or looking for people who could benefit from reposting our content)

    www.striptogether.co

It's a platform where artists can create collaborative comic strips by drawing one panel at a time, and passing it along through the community.

    1. 1

First of all, awesome site and idea!

Maybe you can create goals where a comic starts at one point and people build on each others comics to get to the story goal and create a strip like that game :)

I am cooking a list for you. Write me your email will send it!

      Cheers

        Thanks so much!

Appreciate the idea - I'm always looking for ways to change up and improve the content.

So, I don't like to be a downer, but we recently did a small job for Spoke (askspoke.com) who just created an AI help desk system.

Looking for businesses that need help with websites OR companies ready to build a custom mobile app or web app :)

Send to thomas@hacksmithlabs.com :) Thank you so much!!

    1. 1

      Hey Thomas,

Thanks for your reply. Will a list of plumbers do the trick?

Their websites are always outdated, just a little tough to deal with sometimes.

We can build you a list where we would find business with an outdated website (this could be doctors, lawyers, accountants - more actively able to spend), but would require a bit more tedious research to evaluate who is in need of an update or isn't mobile friendly, and it will need to be a paid list unfortunately. If that's up your alley, let me know. If not, will give you a standard list of plumbers no problemo - let me know

      Kind regards

      Ben

      1. 1

Hey Ben!! Sorry for the late reply, totally missed your comment. Sure, happy to try out a list of plumbers or small, rural construction companies :) Anything in the midwest / Wisconsin would be great :)

      Hey Sean,

Thanks for replying - we specialise in B2B - but we could give you a list of students learning code at university if you like?

      Please confirm.

Awesome, thanks for doing this Ben!

Our product is GrowSurf.com, referral marketing software that gets you more customers and grows your business. We're targeting mostly eCommerce and SaaS startups.

    1. 2

Thanks Kevin - what is the job title of the persons you are trying to reach out to at these companies? What sized companies? What location?

      Thanks

      Ben

      1. 2

        Targeting US-based startup companies (seed, series A + B).

Typically founders/CEOs of smaller companies or CMOs if they have one.

        1. 2

What a great product by the way and very needed. I'd love to use it for my business but unfortunately not relevant for me as I would need the person to refer business clients who pay x money :/

Regardless, I am cooking your list now for you.

Write your email below will send it to you!

          Kind regards

          Ben

          1. 2

Thanks Ben! We actually use GrowSurf to reward our own users who refer paying users. It's one line of code that looks like:

            growsurf.createContact('CAMPAIGN_ID', 'bob@boblaw.com');

Happy to hop on a call and/or show you a demo of your use case.

            My email is kevin@growsurf.com.

            1. 2

Thanks Kevin, sorry, I should have wrote, I need them to pay outside of my website (e-invoice, bank transfer, paypal). I don't take orders through a button as that's no bueno in my business. I'll keep you in mind and refer you to others when relevant 💯

              :)

By the way, I actually think you might yield far better results targeting Women's wear / Instagram Type Clothing companies than SaaS companies. I feel like there is more incentive to refer friends who will actually pay than a BizDev guy trying to knock $10 off his SemRush account. You'll kill it there. What do you think?

              1. 2

                Ah, gotcha -- makes sense.

Thanks for the insights -- you're onto something here. We're still experimenting with our main customer profile(s), so we're definitely open to anything -- that'd be great to target that eCommerce demographic!

Currently getting the word out to gain customers for PDFShift - an API to convert HTML to PDF, so List Genies come in handy right now :) Thank you for the offer!

By the way, your website is down right now, with a Python error :/

    Update: Seems fixed :)

    1. 1

Thank you Cyril - who is your target audience exactly?

The more finite you are in what use case, the better leads I will give you.

      Cheers, Ben

      1. 2

Yes indeed. It's for developers that need to convert documents (reports, invoices, etc). Is it enough?

        1. 1

Well, there are lots of types of developers, a lot working for different types of companies, and a lot freelancing doing different types of coding for different types of people. It gets complicated the further down the rabbit hole you go!

Can you please describe to me the use case? Why and when does a developer need to convert HTML to PDF via API?

What sort of developers doing what? Who for? At what sort of company? Freelance? Banks?

You need a real example of someone needing this in order to correctly hit your target. Otherwise, you will be shooting in the dark! :)

          Let me know.

          Kind regards

          Ben

          1. 2

Thank you for taking the time to ask the precise stuff, this is of greater help than "just asking for a list of emails" as it will help me better understand my target in a way I didn't do.

For the use case, it started with my situation, a bootstrapper that got some payment and wanted to send an invoice by mail in PDF. I did the design of the invoice in HTML, which can be opened by the customer too, and I was looking for a way to convert this page in PDF and send it directly to my customer when the payment is confirmed.

Looking at the state of the other alternative, I know that there is a market for this so that's why I went there, but it's possible that "converting invoices to PDF" is only a small subset of the real target here. I'm aware others are interested in this tool for converting report.

When you ask for what sort of developers are doing what, I'm not sure to understand. Since PDFShift is an API, all programming language that can do requests online are compatible (so, 99% of them I'd say ;) ). I target more the small and medium companies, even startups, bootstrapped or not.

The more interesting target for me is heavy users of conversions since they will more easily convert to paying customers, which is what I'm looking for of course.

I hope this will give you more details about what target I'm looking for. If you need more details, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to comply :)

(I love the fact that you take the time to ask these questions. It means that you are looking for giving me (us) the best list of leads possible, not just a bunch of emails you randomly found online!)

By the way, I have two questions for you:

            1. How do you comply with GDPR? Do you send only non-eu emails?

            2. Do you know a service that does the next from yours: reaching out and trying to convert the leads? Does yours do this? (I checked but haven't found it).

Thanks!! (sorry for the long post)

            1. 1

              Howdy. Thanks for your reply.

              Re your questions:

              1. Our Lists are GDPR safe - each email is considered "opt-in" as they listed publicly and the 'user consent' is given. You must only contact them on business matters. So you are safe.

              2. I would like to do this later down the line. It means employing a stellar team. There is no point in getting together a 'half-good' team to do this as this will damage our customers' businesses. When we can, we will! :)

              Your answer:

You have mentioned your use case: Converting an HTML Invoice to PDF that you designed. This seems to be a small target - but it could be a good one. Do a lot of people design HTML invoices? If so, who and why? (Check out my article I just wrote for IH) -> https://www.indiehackers.com/@listgenies/this-is-how-you-actually-figure-out-your-target-audience-bf34dda8d0

You have given 'why'. This is how you will find your target audience.

I would suggest coming up with at least 3x 'whys'. and you are on to something :)

              1. 1

Thank you Ben for your follow up. I've had the idea to ask the IH community what was their use case, and got a lot of awesome answers: https://www.indiehackers.com/forum/why-would-you-need-to-convert-an-html-document-to-pdf-1f0c5875ab

My use case was one, but more interesting ones that came out are :

For the why, the general reason is:

                1. To be able to send them via email

                2. Have a format that is stable and can be read everywhere, easily (every "computer" have a PDF reader, independant of the OS, hardware, etc)

                3. To keep an immutable trace of a document (in that case, written in HTML).

Let me know if you need anything more :)

                1. 1

                  Cyril! Well Done!

I actually commented on there mentioning a Zap idea but realised was logged in to my girlfriend's account!

So, it seems that Web Developers are probably more relevant to you than any other type of developer.

                  Web Developors (General)

                  CTO/IT/Developer/Architect/Engineer at Financial/Legal Companies.

Any more you let me know!

Cooking your current list now for you -> write me your email below!

                  Cheers

                  Ben

                  1. 1

                    Awesome, thank you so much!

You can send me the list on cyril@ on my project pdfshift.io.

And if you ever decide to do the next step, handling the conversion, feel free to let me know! Depending on the price (always ;)), I may be interested in such a service!

Thank you very much for everything!!

Hi Eelco - who is your target audience exactly?

The more finite you are in what use case, the better leads I can give to you.

      Cheers, Ben

      1. 2

Current customers are small to mid-sized (up to 45 employees) companies running a SaaS business (and one creative agency). All based in EU. I try to target similar companies + (try to) target the person in charge of hiring. For small sized companies this is usually the founder. Bigger companies usually manager / team leader.

        1. 2

Manager/Founder up to 50 employees SaaS EU?

I am cooking your list now.

Kindly write your email below and I will send it to you

eelco@munahq.com Looking forward to it. :)

Just finished putting together https://www.scraperapi.com, it's an API that manages proxies and headless browsers to make scraping websites easier. I'd love to try out this service!

    1. 1

      Interesting!

      Who are you targeting exactly?

      Scraping professionals or new developers?

Note: On Fiverr there are tons of people who scrape. These might be a good audience to reach out to as well

Let me know who you need and will get for you

      Cheers

      Ben

      1. 1

Scraping professionals would be the target audience for this. Are Fiverr developers a good audience to market to?

        1. 1

Actually no. They are mainly based in India/Bangladesh and won't pay those prices.

You need developers who don't want to mess with services like Scrapinghub/Crawlera, but your pricing...

It seems like you are targeting novice scrapers/programmers?

Kindly confirm will give you a list

          1. 1

I just kind of eyeballed it on pricing, do you think it's unreasonable?

            1. 1

Unless you can beat ScrapingHub (which I think is the biggest?) why should a programmer use you? A few extra lines of code to save them whatever it is, and they'll probably do it.

Beat them, by far, you will win. Guaranteed.

              1. 1

These prices are lower than ScrapingHubs...

                1. 1

                  Ah!

                  Really sorry about that :D

I remember paying $25 for it once and I assumed that was it. I didn't take into consideration the usage volumes. My bad.

Write me your email will give you a list of scraping developers? (That's who you need right?)

                  1. 2

                    Yup, dan@scraperapi.com, thanks!

  17. 2

This a great list and used about 500 such leads for an email campaign for Codegiant.io

The campaign went well and I will be sharing my detailed experience soon :)

    1. 1

Curious to your results ánd what brought you those result.

    2. 1

      Thanks Rishi!

Best of luck and let me know if I can help you again

  18. 2

Can't vouch for the list, but I can say Ben just helped me work through my business idea for a solid half-hour for nothing in return (even advising me I didn't need the list)!

    1. 2

Thank you Josh - was a pleasure chatting with you :)

  19. 1

    Hi Ben,

Sorry for being late here. I hope you are still willing to help here.

Could you please provide a list as below.

"Need B2B Ecommerce Owners/Decision Makers who are using Magento/Shopify/Woocommerce for their store"

    1. 1

Howdy - this would have to be a paid list I am afraid. Kindly write to me ben@listgenies.com and can get one for you.

      Cheers

  20. 1

Hey Ben, that's great initiative, thank you!

I'm building https://kvdb.io a key-value database as a service for developers who want a simple API for building serverless apps, prototyping, and more. I'm the sole developer, it started out as a weekend project that I'd like to now grow into something self-sustaining. The audience is primarily developers, but I'm working to make the messaging and value prop appeal to non-devs too:

    Job Title: engineer, manager, CIO

    Company size: Any

    Location: Anywhere

Keywords: developer api, hosted database, key-value store, nosql

Feel free to email me at inquiries@kvdb.io - Thanks!

      Hey Biku,

As much as I am sure this is a lucrative market, we don't have access to minor's contact information. Sorry about that and best of luck!

      Kind regards

      Ben
