I'm working on a project

I'm working on a project right now where I'm wanting to integrate a similar forum to what csallen has done here at IndieHackers. Other than building one from the ground up myself, I was wondering if anyone knows of more "pluggable" solutions. I'm aware of Telescope/Vulcan.
