Today I examine the influence of a billion dollar industry. 💲🏭
Have you ever collaborated with an influencer?
What's your take on influencer marketing?

IMHO 100% works, look at most "sponsored" YouTube videos, they all do that.
I swear I must have purchased more than a few things just because someone sponsored a video from a creator I really like (LTT).

I'm curious, can you please name a few things you've purchased through an influencer?

The latest thing, TunnelBear VPN subscription!
before that, a SIM card with good $$$ savings

Last question! :p
What's truer in your case? You bought what the creator sponsored because:
A. "I wanted to support them"
B. "I had the need to consume a service or product so I chose to consume these at that time"

C. I was looking around for a solution and realized that by purchasing I was supporting the creator (so B > A ) but both are valid in my mind.

I'm not the biggest fan of influencer marketing, but gymshark pretty much owes all of it's success due to adoption and promotion by the biggest youtubers and instagram stars in the fitness industry.
People like to imitate the people they think are cool so they can be cool themselves. So I can see how influencer marketing can work heavily in your favour if done right.

The title is misleading, as it implies there is a discussion of good and bad things about influencer marketing. It is not. It is just a only pieces trying to sell you very hard that influencer marketing is better than life itself.
And the site experience is inbearable. I got interrupted three times with full screen modals selling me things. And the message informing about cookies didn't disapead even after i clicked "ok". Btw, It was not labeled "ok", it was stupidly labeled "I love cookies". Which I don't, but I am obligated to click it if I want it to go away (and it doesnt).
The site is full of dark patterns based marketing. Stay away from it.
