Often for the marketing of our web based software, we rely majorly on digital marketing. I have few questions here:
i) is it really bringing customers ?
ii) Are we doing it on the right platform ?(many times on fb/instagram)
iii) Isn't this cheap way of promoting will going to cost us BIG in the long run ?
Asking whether digital marketing works is like asking whether eating food gives you energy.
As for your questions
I) In a general sense - yes. In your particular situation no one can say.
II) Instagram isn’t usually the best place to advertise software. Facebook is a good place for almost every niche.
In the end, you’ll need to test different channels and determine the one that works best. Try the bulls eye framework from Traction.
III) haha, what on earth makes you think it’s cheap? Companies can spend anywhere from five dollars to millions. It’s a multi billion dollar industry.
It is. I don't have data on me, but there are businesses that run on 100% DM currently.
To answer your question:
i) You need to have data on this, no one else can answer this for your business
ii) Depends on your target customer. What's your product? Who is your audience?
iii) Who says it's cheap?
