Hi, I've been working at https://www.remotelists.com/ for a few weeks now. It will be a platform to connect remote jobs and remote workers. Very simple. I'm working on my own and I'm trying to get everything ready to go live in a few weeks, maybe 1-2 weeks maximum. I did not have much time for a fancier landing page, so I did this one. I'm just wondering if I should put more effort into it, once I'm not sharing it yet.
Let me know what you think. Thank you!
The page is fine, the content is too thin. Tell people what's special or unique about you. Tell them how you'll treat them better than the competition. Why should they use your company in particular? Give them a reason to sign up.
Thanks, good points! can you check this one https://cdn.dribbble.com/users/178699/screenshots/5255325/attachments/1140314/landing2xbig.png ? this would be the real page.
Hi Thiago,
Definitely love the idea, and might use it for Feedier.com, we are looking for remote workers.
But, I'm confused with the lack of details about why you're different, and what exactly I'll get by signing up.
If you don't have time for better design, you could write up a blog article maybe, and link to it?
Cheers..
Hi, so it is a job board + list of professionals. So companies or recruiters can go directly to the professional. I'm also going to offer a curated list and matched candidates based on your search. Of course I can't offer all of it right now, but within time yes. I would love to have you there. Did you subscribe? Thank you!
Nope, I really like it. Look great, well done
Thank you! Can you check this one: https://cdn.dribbble.com/users/178699/screenshots/5255325/attachments/1140314/landing2xbig.png ? this will be the real page soon. thank you!
I saw this one too, looks really good. The only thing I'd change is maybe I'd order it like:
Post jobs
Features jobs
Talent
Featured talents
Love the colors :)
Thank you for the feedback!
I think it looks great,
Thank you!
On initial glance, I see the three interaction choices (signup, get in touch, and follow on Twitter) rather than focusing on the information. I would suggest making the get in touch button a bit more subtle, likely a ghost button so it just sits nicely on your background. I would add a Twitter bird link rather than their interaction button.
It looks great!
Thank you! Can you take a look at: https://cdn.dribbble.com/users/178699/screenshots/5255325/attachments/1140314/landing2xbig.png ? This would be the real page soon. Thanks!
Much nicer than anything I've ever designed! Looks great. Good luck!
Thank you!
Is this going to be your live landing page? Or just one for prelaunch? I think that as a prelaunch landing page, it's fine.
Prelaunch, the real page will be this one: https://cdn.dribbble.com/users/178699/screenshots/5255325/attachments/1140314/landing2xbig.png
Ah ok, gotcha. I like both!
Thanks! Does it look like a product you could use? :)
I’m not personally in the market for remote work, but if I was, I’d definitely check it out. How have you been reaching out to potential employers and people looking for remote work?
I have a good network of remote workers and I think this would not be hard to get people. I think the hardest part would be to have companies paying for the job posts, at least until it get traction.
Seems fine to me - the goal is to get some initial interest and I understood quite quickly what you're doing. Once you launch I would suggest replacing your home page with your application, like show a list of jobs straight away.
Thanks, Steven. Take a quick look here: https://cdn.dribbble.com/users/178699/screenshots/5255325/attachments/1140314/landing2xbig.png this is how I'm building the homepage. Let me know what you think. Thank you!
Did you think about making a landing page for job searchers and job posters instead of selling to both on the same page?
It would be inside how-it-works I guess.
My attention was confused in the first few moments whether to look at the picture on the right, or text on the left. As a suggestion, maybe make one stand out more, depending on what you need visitors to look at first.
No, clean and very simple landing page, I like it.
thank you!
It is simple, but you can include some comments of your current clients and rates. Also, if you are international, programs you have, etc.
Did you do the design yourself or contract out?
The illustration is custom, I got from a free base and modified to my style.
Yup, the design is mine. I'm a designer :)
"Don’t worry, we are not going to spam you!" makes me afraid your going to spam me. TBH, that didn't enter my mind until this brought it to my attention. The text is too abrasive anyways. If your going to have this text, then make it more generic.
hmm.. Tho I will not spam anyone :P I hate spams :)
I wan't to add my two sents as well. I like it!
Thanks!
Hey Thiago, I looked at the link you pasted to your un-published page.
I think it looks great (to my artistically-impaired eye :) ).
A few of the sentences seemed a bit wonky to me. It'll be worthwhile to spend some time refining and simplifying the language, but it does seem to focus on solving a problem, which sounds good to me.
Like the other commenter suggested, I personally would be skeptical of a company I haven't heard of charging both companies and individuals. I wouldn't sign up with at least a free trial if I wasn't 100% sure that these big companies were going to see what I have to offer.
Of course, I'm also not looking for work, esp. from a large corp.
Thank you for the feedback! About the text, yes I will review everything before it goes live.
So the pricing thing, I'm thinking about to make a free plan and a paid one.
It's not too simple. It's just fine.
Thank you for the feedback!
No for what you need its fine - don't bother changing it especially if your launching in 2 weeks. #my2cents
Thank you for the feedback!
It's great. When I was looking for remote work I was surprised to see that there are no remote focused recruitment agencies. The landing page is fine for now. I don't think you will need much more for quite a while, maybe some more credibility stickers later. Probably you will be mostly outbound?
Thank you for the feedback! I will be releasing the real page in a few days from now.
I would kill the Twitter link because you only have 4 followers.
50% off means to me that I'll have to pay as a job-seeker, which is a no-go.
Your CTA is black and it has to compete with the red on the page.
It's not clear what you're offering, besides something related to remote employees. But is this for employees? Employers?
The name "remotelists" to me implies that you might be selling lists, which sounds shady.
I agree that its not relaying who's it for specifically. Also after viewing said design, it looks pretty standard as an employer you get charged for posting a remote job.
Hi Robert, why paying as job-seeker is a no-go?
You can take a look here: https://cdn.dribbble.com/users/178699/screenshots/5255325/attachments/1140314/landing2xbig.png what the page will look like soon.
Thank you!
Paying as a job-seeker is not necessarily a no-go but the page has to convince me that I'm going to get real value out of your service vs. one of the many free competitors like remoteok.io.
