I wish I could show you a clip of all the distractions, lazy afternoons, discouragement and depressive behavior that I had to walk through to get here.
There is now a belief deep in my soul that, if I could make $1k a month, literally anyone can make $1k a month.
Here is to $2k and learning how to scale! Keep going!
Awesome @philipimperato! Keep going!
Some questions I wish I'd asked myself when I was about where you are now:
How do I make sure my current customers churn is minimal (or at least healthy enough for now)?
Of my current customers, which ones are the best customers? Can I use that information to make the next sales step easier?
Now that you've made it to $1k, how can you not just make another $1k in MRR, but make another $1k MRR in a predictable, repeatable way? (Think shorten sales cycles, better lead qualifying, referrals, processes etc)
Good luck!
Thank you for this!
Great reminder to not get bogged down with the grind of things. Going to ponder these questions when my next planning day arrives.
Congratulations Philip!! Keep learning from your customers to improvise the product and you shall reach $2k MRR pretty soon.
That's awesome Philip!
what are the project(s)? Visualbonus only or others too?
how long have you been working said project(s)?
Cheers
Yes, VisualBonus is the only project I have been working on and I have been at it for almost 1 1/2 years.
Awesome, congrats!!!
Congrats Phil!
Congrats Phil! Keep it up!
Congratulations, Philip! Here's to many more k's!
Congrats! I hope to reach that level some day.
Well done Philip, it's your perseverance.
Congratulations! I would advise you apply an SSL certificate to your website to help your SEO and provide more customer confidence. You can do it for free using Let's Encrypt. https://letsencrypt.org/
Congratulations @philipimperato . I love the part "If i could make $1k a month, literally anyone can make $1k a month".
I'll keep that to heart.
Congratulations, you earned my respect!
Couple of questions that would interest me:
How many customers do you have?
How did you acquire your first customers?
How long did it take from idea until how you've hit you $1k MRR?
Thanks, and very good job! :)
Congratulations @philipimperato! This is a great motivation to keep going 😄
I love how simple the pricing plan of VisualBonus is. 🙌
Nice work. Small typo on your landing page: "We provides powerful" => "We provide powerful" :)
Ah man! I love hearing this kind of thing! Massive congratulations to you!
Now to add another 0 to that MRR! :D
congrats!
wooohoo big congrats!!!!!
Congratulations, you have all my respect. I'm at the beginning, dragging in the land of "...distractions, lazy afternoons, discouragement...". Posts like yours boost my confidence!
Thank you so much.
Congrats! I know agents who’d spend a full day in excel trying to figure out bonuses.
An amazing feat, Philip! Cheers to another 1k 📈🍻
1 year and 2 months proves that if you believe enough in something, nothing can stop you to achieve it! 🙌
Congrats @philipimperato.
So, I would like to ask few things that might help me to hit $1K with the experiences you share.
What do you think is the best way to scale up sales?
Where are the early stage product owners/makers struggle and your advice on that?
Congrats! What was the most important thing you learned with getting early customers? How'd you get them?
Most people only see the tip of the iceberg. We, Indie Hackers, know what's under the water. Well done!
Congrats Philip!
How do you acquire customers, content marketing? cold calling? cold emailing?
I have a list of highly target emails that I cold email to. The other source is picking in referrals. Once my names starts getting out there, it spreads.
Congrats, @philipimperato! That's great news! Care to share your product?
Sure, kinda niche: www.visualbonus.com
Nice! 🙌
Hi Philip,
Congratulations on reaching this critical milestone.
I remember a while back you were suffering from the solo-side of entrepreneurship: long days working alone with nobody to talk shop with. How did the quest to connect with local indie hackers go?
This is still a massive struggle for me. I reached out to a couple of people and it helped - though I neglected it for a bit.
I had a small burn out last week that was probably attributed to the lack of outreach. Thanks for asking, it's always a good challenge and reminder.
