Really awesome read and thanks for being this transparent and open, it means a lot to people like me who want to get where guys like you are, or who are just starting out in this game called internet marketing.

Thanks a lot! I will definitely keep posting these type of articles. People tend to love them :)

Rich,
These are really great articles.
An antidote to the launch week/product-hunt hype , and demonstrate the power of slow progressive improvement and iteration.

Thanks! The site has grown a lot ultimately.

Hey Rich,
Keep going with the updates. How did you turn your SEO around?
I remember you were having trouble with SEO, what did you do to turn it around?
1
Hey Daniel! Yes, I was. I was suffering a lot with SEO :-) I kept posting new articles, getting backlinks and all the typical SEO efforts. Google finally recognized the website and the domain left the Google Sandbox. SEO rankings began to grow a lot and organic traffic began to arrive at the website!

Nice one, Rich. Let’s see if I can make Muna well-known and let it fail for another interview for Failory. :)

Haha, I wish you success with Muna, eelco!

Wow! Great job, really happy with Failory and impressed with all your work! Stay in the game @richclominson !
THX for sharing the data - very interesting to know that it is possible to make money with this way.
Not sure if I have missed this information or if it was not mentioned at all but what would be very interesting is to know how much effort (time) was invested in this month to get where you are.

Hey Luke, that's a great question. I should have explained it in the report. In July I had quite a lot of time, so I worked an average of 3-4 hours per day on the project. The freelancer has just started, so she has probably worked 4 hours in total. This means a total time investment of around 100 hours.
However, in general, I have much less time, so I work the half or even less.

Big THX for the update :D

Great work! Thanks for sharing your actual stats and what is working for you what is not.

Glad to hear you like it Josh!

I see what you did there 👀 Do you think you'll rank for that copy writing post? The competition seems pretty tough. Weirdly enough, you aren't showing up either. Only if I search "business copywriting guide", will your post show up. Also, you messed up the link by linking to your failory.webflow.io backend domain, but that's just an assumption. If I were you, I would change that to failory.com instead.

Hey Martin, I have just published the business copywriting guide and I haven't done any SEO efforts yet. I am pretty sure the article will rank well if I do some outreach to get backlinks.
Thanks for telling me about the mistake. I will now change it.

It looks so much like IndieHackers tbh. I would change the color scheme so that it seems more genuine. In my humble opinion, it seems like you've started an IH clone and posting articles to IH for visits?

Hey Travis. IH was a big inspiration when building Failory. I have considered changing the design to make it look different. It isn't one of my main priorities, but I will probably do it in the future.
