Just launched: BroadBoard gets your product featured on a famous billboard in Times Square

Hey IH! đź‘‹

BroadBoard is the simplest & most affordable way to get your product featured on one of the most famous billboards in Times Square. We just launched on Product Hunt: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/broadboard-times-square!

Normally advertising in Times Square requires 7-figure budgets and months-long commitments.

We’ve organized a partnership with the management behind the famous Thomson Reuters sign in the heart of Times Square to let startups share exciting news about their companies & products on their billboard for a fraction of the cost: just $500 per feature. 🙏

This is one of the largest digital signs in the world (22 stories tall), adjacent from the Hard Rock Cafe and the site of the New Years Eve Ball on 43rd Street & 7th Avenue. See it on Google Street View here: https://goo.gl/jgp1W8)!

Every BroadBoard feature comes with a feature on the Thomson Reuters billboard, a full press release, a photo of your feature on the sign, and distribution to our network of 1,400 content websites. ⚡️

Really excited to share this––would love to hear your thoughts!

PS: This is our 11th product in our 24 in 12 months challenge, 3rd product in 2 weeks (Read about the challenge here: https://westvesey.com/why-were-building-24-businesses-in-12-months/)

How was the initial launch in terms of conversions and traffic, Matt?

I've been following you and the team quite closely the past few months, good luck with the rest of your launches this year!

      Thanks––we appreciate you following along!

So far <700 users, 1 order, $500 gross rev 🙂

        Hi Matt,

How long is the ad live on the billboard for?

BTW, really appreciate your recent blog post. I'm excited to see what you guys cook up over the next few months. Something, I didn't get is what proportion of the team is working on this full-time? 50K gross isn't chump change, but it's less than one full time salary.

        1. 1

Each feature is 15 seconds during either morning or evening rush hour.

2 of us are full-time (me and @Aattsai). Yes, it is less than a full-time salary, but we've made it work. We're projecting $10k+ gross this month so the rougher times are behind us 🤞

          1. 1

            Thanks for the clarification.

Your experiment is one of the most interesting in this space. You've taken one traction channel and pushed it to the max.

Are you guys converting your existing customers to new products, or is bulk of revenue from new users each time?

Good luck with the rest of the year.

            1. 1

We haven't really optimized for that yet. We're mostly focused on new production––which is just a tradeoff of this challenge. We're looking forward to January where we can take a step back and tighten up our sales & growth efforts
