Just onboarded my first beta user! ๐ŸŽ‰

I've been at this full time for 8 weeks now. After lots of work, I finally onboarded by first beta customer to my new Saas https://raaft.io! True, it's for my former company, but still... they saw enough value to want to use the service before it was fully baked.

It feels both really good and really scary. The product works, but there's a lot more I need to add on to make it awesome. And now I need to shift into dual-focus mode... part developing and part selling & marketing.

Anyway, I just wanted to share and encourage everyone else to keep-on-keeping-on!

oh, and if you're interested in being part of the beta, give me a shout!

Cheers!

Luke

If you can get 10 paying users then its worth scaling!

Congrats @coolhand79! Celebrate this moment - it's one of the best feelings ever. Remember it!

@bootstrapCHILA, don't want to hijack this thread, but do you mind expanding on this a bit?

      1. 1

Rule of thumb is if you can get 10 people to pay for your product than it's worth your time to spend money to try to scale it to 1000 or beyond

      2. 1

@bootstrapCHILA - I'd be interested in your thoughts on that too :)

  2. 2

Definitely a great idea - congrats!

Congratulations on your customer onboarding Luke!

This looks really useful. I'm not a SaaS expert but I guess raaft.io would have an easy to measure impact on churn reduction. And if we can really implement it with one line, I see no reason not to try it. Win, win. Well done.

Luke that is one sexy looking website. Did you design that yourself?

    1. 1

      Thanks David! My co-founder did... he's a rockstar :+1:

Hi @coolhand79 - curious - this is what https://lesschurn.io/ does. Why would I choose your product over theirs?

    1. 1

Good question: As opposed to being focused solely on retention, Raaft is designed to always help you get feedback from canceling customers. It's not enough to retain unhappy customers, you need to know why they were considering canceling in the first place! Further, we believe we provide a better user experience, match the aesthetics of your product better and are simpler to use. We plan to have a full retention suite including post-cancellation win-back email campaigns as well. Anyway, I could go on... ;)

Looks great! Always had such a concept on my startups ideas list ('cancel funnel as a service'). Not surprised that you go for SaaS - but don't overlook the potential of B2C subscription companies - plenty of churn going on there too!

Looks really useful, would love to use it on the SaaS product we've just launched, signed up!
