    what is remote DNA?

    1. 1

Remote DNA means that it is a core value of the company that won't change. No bigwig will come in someday, and demand that all of their employees move to an office somewhere.

      1. 1

Yeah, more like remote first v/s you working very similarly to normal 9-6s without the employer spending on your office space

Hi! Sure, I come from the data and product side so might not be able to replicate but here's my story!

I primarily used the aggregators and the list of remote first companies to get a sense of remote jobs available for my skill set. Once that was done, I shortlisted a couple that I was interested in and completed their application as well as reached out to folks via mail/LinkedIn expressing interest as well as a couple of points about their app/product where I thought I could add some value. A couple clicked, and I landed an opportunity with an early stage ed-tech venture!

There are tons of opportunities for Dev folks so I'm sure it'll be a lot easier. Try the top 10 (buffer, zapier, etc) and then the others! Goodluck :)

        Thank you for sharing.

I want to add that some companies (not talking about your list) claim to be remote only (or at least the recruiters do) and after some time one finds out that 's not 100% true.

For instance, I found a nice remote job (I was contacted, did not apply) but at the end it turns out they require you to be in the office once a week (it's like 5 hours from where I live).

So be careful not to waste your time and state upfront if you are only interested (like in my case) with 100% remote jobs!
