New homepage design for newCo - feedback welcome!

I'm launching the new platform for newCo.app very soon and just playing around with some homepage designs.

Both are incomplete - I need to fix colours and copy. But in terms of the feel of it, which do you prefer?

Hey Ben (biggup the 'diff cru!)

Of the two twitter options, I like number 2, overall I also prefer your current site. However, testing on smaller than screen res never really feels right versus a full interactive site. Can I ask, why you're looking to change it?

      haha yo!

      Appreciate the response...

My feelings are the current one were to validate my initial idea. The new interactive platform will be ready soon and I think the homepage deserves a facelift that compliments it.

Congrats on being close to shipping!

Tough to critique the site without knowing more about the market/features. In terms of style... they're all "nice"... tough to go any deeper without context.

yeah I'm just getting a feel for thoughts on the style...

Number Two! More appealing to my eyes. Needs more Hoover though. 馃構

Wondering if you might wanna stack the lessons on the right as cards so it appears there's more lessons upon landing (and possibly cycle them) with the "See All >" link.

I dig the Browse section being navigable there on the landing page! Do wonder if people may get stuck there and not get through to Watch and Build though.

Number One comes across a little more structured, not as creative-oriented as I'm assuming you'd want to be for your target-audience.

Yeah thinking what to do there but actually the browse section is a preview of what the platform looks like. So clicking anything will actually take you to the platform with all the content.

I'm battling with having a marketing page Vs not even bothering! So I think have clear info and the ability for people to scroll to see the different parts but also so easily slipping into the platform where all the goodies are!

Have to agree with people - your current one is way better as it is. I don't like illustrations at all in this layout, all feels too generic. Right now, the website is tight, full of content and quite unique with buttons, the new one though has no character.

I might be biased but I had clients who asked me to incorporate same style of illustrations into their website, and honestly it just makes it look like every other page these days.

My advice is to just spice up the existing website, do some fixes here and there and keep the overall style.

      appreciate your feedback.

I have to agree with Sebastien.

You're wasting your time here. You have a page with proven conversion efficiency, and growing momentum. You should be improving and adding to your content: not redecorating the storefront: just my 2 cents.

The proper way to do this would be to test these pages using A/B or multivariate testing on a proportion of your sites traffic. Remember the aim of the landing page is to convert casual traffic into paying customers - what me, dick or harry think is irrelevant - its whether the conversion rate increase that matters.

thanks for your feedback. this is not stopping me from improving and adding content though.

Interestingly, I prefer your current website, none of the new ones.

haha fair enough! Would love to know what seems better vs current one?
