"This is going to CRUSH IT!"

9/10 times, it doesn’t crush anything besides my ego.

So for the launch of Growthmentor, I thought I'd be responsible.

I told myself, "Dude! You're 32 years old. Stop with that overly optimistic excited shit and get a grip on yourself! Don't get your hopes up!”

So when the day came to launch the site, I tried to stay cool.

I rehearsed my internal mantras "Deep breath, level head, inhale, exhale. "

It's been 30 days since we launched, and guess what happened?

We're crushing it!

All the of the internal dialogues I had with myself about emotional moderation and keeping expectations in check went flying out of the window at the slightest indication of positive traction.

ButBut why am I feeling this urge to self-lobotomize?

Chasing that high is why I'm still playing this game.

Yethat you shouldn’t get too excited about things because you might get let down.I think a bWould I even be the same person if I wasn’t so ridiculously excited?

I wouldn’t be able to grind like I grind without it.What would be the point?

But if you can somehow manage to bounce back up, consistently, you're golden.

You'll get to be excited again all over again. :)
