Outbound cold emailing on purchased lists ..how do you do it?

I’m looking for decent solutions for outbound cold emailing on - say- purchased lists or non opt-ins

This is definitely not considered spam if you provide your right details and an option to opt out.

there are few service providers like clickmail, but they seem very expensive

My thought is that a lot of businesses may have done this or needed this to create word of mouth. But the question is how.. almost every reliable(non bouncing) email provider wants only opt ins

Where do you buy purchased lists for niches?

      Depends on the niche actually

You’re going to want a non-marketing email service provider. So apps like Mailchimp or ConvertKit are out.

Instead, you’ll be sending these emails from a corporate email account. You will want to use google (or office365) as your email provider. You can use others or DIY but it gets more complicated with IP address whitelisting and reputation.

You can use your main domain or a separate but similar domain name to send the emails. You’ll need to prime the email account to get them ready for sending.

Over the course of about 2 weeks slowly start sending and receiving about 5-10 messages per day.

There are many email automation tools that you might try to help send these cold emails. Fellow indie hacker @jacksontrieu’s actionable.me is a solid choice. You can look into Mailshake, woodpecker, reply.io for some bigger players this space.

I would recommend sending as highly customized an email as possible and send in small batches so that you can optimize your open and reply rates before you scale for volume of sends.

You’re not trying to send as many emails as possible but to establish as many conversions as possible.

Five really good custom emails > 500 generic ‘buy my stuff’ emails.

      Solid advice!

Thanks @growwithlogan! How's the charlotte indie scene? I used to be in south park and did some work with msft.

I'm doing a thread about finding and talking to customers over here: https://www.indiehackers.com/forum/i-ll-help-you-find-and-talk-to-customers-for-you-4842b8887b

Would love to know what you think!

Thanks Vanessa. I followed your other thread where you help people dissect their websites.

Are you still doing it? I’m looking for an outreach strategy for simplifycards.com. Would appreciate help there

I am also reachable at responsek at gmail

Hi @Responsek, think your site would do well with outbound marketing to social media influencers in India since you have more of a B2C audience.

It’s a little different process but post a reply in the main thread and I’ll do a strategy video for you.
