@nickswan , "But the 84% who do not covert generally will not interact in any way through email or in-app messages. I'd like to be able to learn more from them about what SanityCheck is missing and what it needs for them to become customers." My suggestion is to run some specific tests with them with some specific offers (free use or more features) to eliminate a few assumptions that you may have as to why they are not converting. Another option is to run a referral campaign with some goodies as a reward, and see if they are excited enough to invest in introducing some new user for you. Or work around some useful original piece of content that might appeal to them and you find some opening for a conversation thereafter.

Thanks @shashank I do reach out and offer to extend their trial, and they stay on the monthly newsletter to try and tempt people back with new features. This has helped. Will have a think through your other ideas - thanks.

Cool. Let me know if you want any help on this.

Great story and I hope your family is doing well. It is amazingly difficult to focus on work when that kind of stuff is going on.
I have always worked with the Microsoft technology stack, so the product itself is built with ASP.NET MVC, C# and Microsoft SQL Server for data storage. I know this isn't what the cool kids use these days, but at 38 I am too old to be classed as one of the cool kids and prefer to work with what I know to quickly get the job done.
Are you me? :)

Ditto.

Glad to hear things are turning around on the health side for your daughter Nick. That couldn't have been a great time for you, and I appreciate you sharing a glimpse of that struggle.
@nickswan man, I went through this too. My son was diagnosed with leukemia at the same age as your daughter. He is good now, but it took a long time... I wish you and your family a happy life and no more troubles like this one.

Thanks @LukaszWiktor - it certainly has been a life changing experience. And I count our blessing/luck every day as we have met other families who have had to deal with a lot worse outcomes.

"...one I could potentially live off if I needed to" - so this is a side project? Does this mean you have a full time job too?

I have been self employed one way or another for the past 11 years, so I have other websites that I earn a living from. So yeah - this started as a side project, but is slowly becoming 100% of my focus.
Glad your family is on the road to health again Nick. Can't imagine how hard that must have been. Congrats on footnote of shipping too.
Thanks @rorykoehler

Hope your family Is well. Inspiring story
Thanks @ehben
This was a great read. It's inspiring how you were able to keep everything together when your daughter was ill. I would have lost my sanity.
Thanks @gayan the days I could work were the little bit of normality I needed to keep me sane
Great inspiring story, hope your family is doing well.
Thanks @rickvanHaasteren
