How about a service that analyses all the Quora data for that given week for your given keywords and gives you the list of top 20-30 questions that are gaining traction and are best to invest your time on that week. Kind of a weekly report with list of best questions that you can invest your time to answer instead of answering every random question.
Does that impress you? If yes, how much would you be willing to pay for such a service?
Hi,
An Indie Hacker has created http://findbetterquestions.com/
You're thinking about almost the same project no?
Maybe you could talk to him
Olive
Thanks. Yes, it’s me 🙃
Would be cool to see something with a different take on this
Really good work Emil, I like your tool, I might use it soon!
Thanks!
Love the site Emil! Super clean, love the GIFs, and the copy is great. Downloading and trying out now.
Question: why a native app rather than a web Saas? Is there some limitation with Quora's API?
Yes, kind of.
Users have to log in to Quora inside the app. Wouldn't be possible on the web
Just curious, why did you decide to do a desktop vs. a web app?
https://findbetterquestions.com/#why-desktop, also, already answered it one comment above ;)
Emil, I just contacted you on your website. Hit me up.
@EmilBruckner, interesting site/service. One piece of feedback... Why is your download link for Windows less visual than your download button for Mac? Bit of a subtle slap in the face for us Windows users, it's as if you don't care as much about those types of users. Kind of turns me off as a potential user.
Are you on Windows?
Actually, it should switch the main button depending on the users OS. Thanks for letting me know that something is wrong.
Definitely care about Windows people as much as Mac people
Good to hear :)
Yes, I am on Windows 10. I tried it in both MS Edge and Chrome and still shows the Mac button as the fully styled version. Hope that helps.
Just spend 1h trying to fix it. Is fixed now (you might have to refresh a couple of times to see changes), only that it introduced a style bug. I’ll go the bed now
Yes, it's indeed fixed for me! Thanks!
The style issue is also fixed now 🎉
Thankyou. One of my guys already got in touch with him already couple of weeks before over email.
This question is more to people who are going to consume the service.
Who are you? Let’s talk!
It’s not too unlikely that we could help each other
Doesn't Quora already do this? The trending list of questions for a given time period, I mean.
Yes, that would be cool.
I could pay $10/month for that type of service.
It not only needs to take into consideration the questions that are gaining traction.
It needs to identify questions with a good ratio of answers to followers, the strength of the people who answer questions. (I've answered questions and gotten 30k views, but the total views of the question answers are 31k. Everyone came for me so it would be misleading).
Agree with Moe here ^
I've never done any quora marketing but mostly because it's hard to find relevant content. I would certainly pay and like anything in this industry if you your data helps bring in leads you can charge a whole bunch.
I can’t not promote my business here. You can check out findbetterquestions.com
If you have any questions, here’s my email: emil@findbetterquestions.com
We give you the best list of questions for a given week for a given set of keywords based on several parameters like - Total number of answers for that questions, how recently the question is answered, answers v views etc.
Considering several parameters, we filter the best questions for that given week. So, instead of randomly jumping on to questions , this will help in investing time on answering questions that are worth it. If a answering a random question gives 1x leads/views, then if you can get a correct question that is gaining traction in that week, it can give 10x leads/views.
