Quick Freelancer Story To Give You Guys A Good Laugh While Working!
So I'm currently working on my SaaS startup, and one of the things I've been focused on is hiring freelancers to help build out the MVP. I've been able to build a really great team so far, but after a few weeks in we realized we could use some extra help.
So I get on Upwork and post the job, and I'm going back and forth with some potential candidates. All normal stuff.
I come across the profile of a guy who seems super experienced, and potentially a great fit technically. His Upwork profile says he's from York, Canada. However, his english is a bit broken and doesn't seem to match the style of other freelancers I've worked with from Canada. I've hired quite a few so I know how to vet them well by now.
After my spidey senses start to tingle, I ask this guy for a pic. Here is the following convo that ensued
I swear you can't make this stuff up. This is just a reminder to everyone to laugh every once in a while, even through tough/annoying days and when it seems like things aren't quite going your way. Laugh, it's the best medicine!
