It's too bad they charge so much and don't share the talks online. It's always felt to me like the starter was just priced out of reach of anybody actually starting out.
The Growth Edition on the other hand.... that is definitely something I'll pay for when I'm at that point!

They do share the talks online for free for attendees. I believe you can also pay separately for access to them online even if you didn't attend!
Value is totally in the community though. Have easily made back the investment with relationships I've developed there. Even got to meet @channingallen and @csallen there :)

That's not what I meant by "share" the talks. Last I checked they charged over $100 just for access to watch the starter talks. For someone bootstrapping a new business, that would be a very poor capital allocation decision. Again, for growth (depending on the quality of the talks), it's different.

If you're into Ruby hacking, Keep Ruby Weird is a really goofy, fun conference. Lots of people bootstrapping and building exciting businesses in the Ruby community. https://keeprubyweird.com/

And they charge $99 to attend! How unusually reasonable for a US tech conference!

Lol - it's definitely an unusual conference.

The Next Web, very inspirational high-level talks and lots of interesting people.
Has anyone here attended previous conferences and can give feedback?

Anyone have an opinion on JAMstack_conf (Oct 29-30, SF, https://jamstackconf.com/)? Just signed up for it, would love to meet any IHers there or at the hackathon the following weekend
Met plenty of IH'ers at MicroConf.
@csallen rocked his talk at Starter Edition.

Good question Jonathan. I haven't attended either of these but have been referred to them: https://smallgiants.org/summit/ and https://summit.co/.
