Reminder: Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completelty pointless

That's a favorite quote of mine quote by Bill Watterson, and I urge you all to consider it. I know some of us (most of us?) are up to some hustle and for many the weekend is the only, or simply the best time to do it.

But don't lose sight of what the weekend means, the opportunity it offers and the benefits a refreshed mind can have on a project. If you can't do 2 days, just do one. Or two afternoons. Or reschedule it during the week.

But whatever you do, make sure it's completely pointless.

  1. 3

With the caveat that it might be the best solution for some people, for some period; I agree with you that it is important to not lose sight of the fact that it should be an exception, and not become a new normal

  2. 1

I would whole heartedly agree if I didn't have to deal with a puppy and going to a programming bootcamp at the same time. At this point for the next three months, the weekend is basically the only time I get to "indie hack".

But in general, yes, I agree with you.
