Shared Inbox in Slack; feedback needed

I recently launched https://sharedbox.app and will appreciate some feedback.

  • SharedBox gives you a unique email address you can forward your support emails to.

  • Mails sent to this email is sent to your selected Slack channel, organised, with replies properly threaded.

  • When ready to, just hit the attached Reply button on Slack. Thread is also updated with delivery and open notifications.

    I like the idea but the landing page is quite empty. I think a step by step video or walkthrough like

    • send mail to this email address

    • it appears in slack

    • you reply

    ...

    where you describe an actual use case would be really good to explain your product. I don't see just from the text and how this would be valuable for me.

    Looks like an interesting project! I would probably second what Johannes said about the landing page. It's missing a bit of a welcoming header section. However what you did where you can click the buttons and 'try' it is very clerver!

    This is interesting. Love how threads are multi-purpose; holding incoming communications, chat between team members, alerts and notifications, and outgoing communications.

    For consistency, I would leave everything as plain text and only quote the actual incoming/outgoing message. Currently, you leave the incoming/outgoing message as plain text and quote the sender name. I would swap that.

    This is a great poor-man's alternative to collaborative inboxes like Front App or Missive. If this product can cut it (and I think it can), sell hard to small companies doing sales that use slack heavily.

    Looks like an interesting product. But how it works is confusing. I don't want to login through Slack until I see a walk-through.

      My bad. There is a walk through on the home page but I will make a better one.

    and can you reply in slack but it replies to the original sender?

      Yes it does. There is a "reply" button attached to the email. I will do a better work through on the homepage.
