Show IH: I built an app in 1 day and launched it the same weekend.
Hey everyone!
New Games Coming Out is an app I built on Friday (May 18) as a single-purpose app meant to be a funnel for my main project https://ggapp.io
I was inspired by @Mubs article about building and automating a side project and I figured since I'm already working on something related, this would be a good "break" from my main project and I could use it to help drive traffic there.
I decided to forego the "automating" part of things for now, just so I can get back to my main project, but I will continue to improve NGCO.
The funny thing about this, is that I finally overcame the standard "buy a domain, never use it" that plagues so many entrepreneurs. I actually didn't buy this domain or make the logo until right before I launched.

I like the idea, and the site looks nice. Has potential I think.
I'd highly recommend adding filters, i.e. PC, Xbox, etc. So that users to quickly see only what they're interested in.
I used list.js in one of my recent projects which I found fantastically simple for implementing something like this.
Side note: the google search 'new games coming out' gets 9,900 searches every month, I'd really try to monopolise that google search.
Haha, that 'filter by platform' is the first thing everyone has asked for. :P
Also, yes, I did a bunch of SEO research and I'm working on boosting that as much as I can :D to optimize for some of those related keywords.
