I made Trolley - https://trolley.link - if you want to validate an idea, stick a Trolley payment button on any website and take actual money in about 2 minutes using Stripe.
I'm putting it out there starting today - I'd love to hear your feedback....
Longer version:
About a month ago, I made a joke product [1], mostly to see how fast I could create a product and get people to pay me actual money ($25 so far!)
However, I found it surprisingly time consuming to do - Stripe is fantastic, but you do still need some server side code to process the charge against their API and redeem the tokenised payment.
You can't do it with a straight static site.
I figured other people must have this problem too - if you're trying to be lean and test your ideas fast with real people, you don't want any friction.
So I built Trolley - a super simple payments platform that lets you create HTML payment buttons that just work.
You create a product in Trolley, grab the snippet of HTML it creates, paste it into any website (static HTML, WordPress, Netlify... anything you like) and that's it.
All you need is a Stripe account - and you can create one as part of signing up for Trolley.
It seems like Trolley should be useful for bootstrappers like us, lean startup enthusiasts, people who want to do pre-orders (like crowd funding for new products), subscription email newsletters and so on.
If you run any of those things, please tell me if Trolley is the kind of thing that interests you.

Looks great! Please add a demo so you can see how it will look when its "live"
Coming soon!
It's only been a few hours since I published this post, I haven't launched anywhere else (yet), and already I've had some great feedback, both in the thread and via email - and some actual signups!
I do love this community. Thanks for all that you do @csallen
Like the service. I also like removing the need to code a single line while still validating an idea (and I'm a veteran developer!).
I use Carrd.co for my landing pages and your service fits right in.
Live the pricing (fits in nicely for early validation stages where time and payment willingness is more important than net income).
What I miss on your landing page is:
screenshots/animated gif that shows an actual example on the page itself
info or example on the output html (is it easy to style the button, edit it's caption,...)
Thanks for the feedback @EeKay.
You're absolutely right about needing an accurate gif / screenshots - I'm working on a new version of the landing page but it isn't ready yet (tomorrow hopefully)
I hadn't thought about showing an example of the HTML, but it's a great idea - I'll definitely include it.
For info right now, it looks like this:
so it really is just an HTML button, and you can style it up however you want :-)
👌🏻nice! All the more reaspn to showcase the html. Love it
Hi @EeKay
I've added some example HTML following your suggestion, and a better - but not perfect - image at the top of a site using a (styled) payment button.
I actually used Carrd for that - thanks for the tip!
Awesome 😃 glad I could help. Looks nice and clear like that 👌🏻
