Show IH: Just launched my first project after months of learning to code. Would love some feedback!

Hi guys! Many months ago in February, I decided to get my sh** together and finally learn to code. It took a while and was documented here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/1RdHXh6n1WkB6junPdseT_Ec4AEM1WQych3i6byMZBFo/edit?usp=sharing

Today, I'm very excited to have launched my first project, nomad(hubb): https://www.nomadhubb.com. It's an exploration tool for coliving/coworking retreats. :)

Since this is my first time ever shipping, I would love some feedback, both on the idea itself and what ended up being created. Is this something that you would use? Would you like to see other filters on there?

Good job! I'm not a nomad but I can see how people will want to keep track of where they can hop / go.

You should reach out to the nomadlist maker and maybe he could help you promote it further - he usually answers pretty quickly on Twitter!

One weird thing, the site automatically redirects the root domain to domain/trips, why is that?

Thank you @orliesaurus! That's a good point. I actually met Pieter back in December, but I should reach out to him. That's just because there is no homepage really, or rather the homepage is /trips. I could just move the trips page to be on the root - and redirect there. Do you think that would be better?

        Yeh it would be IMHO

The code is pretty clean, though not the most efficient. Overall I think your on your way and especially impressive since your learning from scratch and just have a year of experience. I would start by going through through and fixing broken links and optimizing images like your profile picture here https://www.nomadhubb.com/assets/Profile.jpg, it's huge for such a small icon.

Usability wise, I'm not really sure what some of the menu items stand for. Such as "Static Location" vs "Location". And the social media buttons on the bottom are pretty non-standard so I think you need a title tag on them for tooltips,

    i.e <i class="fa fa-facebook fa-2x" title="Share to Facebook" aria-hidden="true"></i>

Hey @egfx! Thanks so much for the feedback. I especially appreciate the technical feedback because I'm still such a n00b. I'm actually quite (happily) shocked to hear that my code is relatively clean.

Great point regarding the image sizes and the menu items not being very clear. Many people have mentioned the second point.

Finally, I didn't realize it was that easy to add tooltips. That's awesome. Thanks again!
