Hello Indie Hackers 👋
I've always been a long-time lurker, but today, I have something to show you!
Recently, I decided to launch 12 products in 12 months as a challenge. The goal is to launch all of my products and to be able to support myself with at least one of them.
Maker Notes (https://makernotes.io) is a way for me to share how this challenge is going while trying to connect with other makers. You'll see these products grow in front of your own eyes, and I hope you'll enjoy the journey as much as I do.
I'll share everything in this newsletter, from this very first launch to every dollar earned with my products. I also won't hesitate to share my failures 😉
Maker Notes is actually one of my products that I wanted to launch, so I'm starting this challenge with this simple newsletter 💌
The first issue will be sent today (Friday) or tomorrow. Stay tuned ✌️
Please let me know what you think 🙏 and know that I'm here to answer any questions 💬
PS: You can also join the discussion on Product Hunt, I'd appreciate it 😀(https://www.producthunt.com/posts/maker-notes)
I'm interested to see your journey. I've just signed up for your newsletter.
How much time are you planning to devote to this challenge? Is it going to be your "full time job"?
Hey Lukasz, thank you! I really appreciate it.
Yes, it's kind of my "full-time job" now. I'm taking a gap year in my studies to focus 100% on this challenge.
I put a lot of hope into this challenge because the outcome will determine what I'll do after my gap year (either continue working on making products full-time or go back to studying).
I have a deja vu haha (both in terms of the challenge name and the amount of emoticons used) ;). I'm sure you know who I am referring to, but regardless, I wish you much success. It took me 6 months to create and launch my first product, working on it day and night, so I expect you're aiming for stuff of similar caliber to https://gofuckingdoit.com/ (which, on its own, got a lot of press coverage for its ingenuity). Good luck!
Just my two cents. I'm pretty sure that a challenge where you will try to get from 0 to $10.000 in ARR with a single app will have more success then 12 MVPs in 12 months. Anyway, good luck with your challenge!
Well, I need to try first to know the answer! I'll post updates on IndieHackers when big milestones are reached. Thanks for giving your opinion!
Hey Michał, thanks for your support, and you're 100% right and I'm totally inspired by @levelsio and his own challenge.
The products I want to launch won't have the same news-worthy effect as Pieter Levels' products, but I'll try to solve a real problem with every one of them. I'm trying to find gaps in the market and to fill them with the best product I can make.
Also, I don't know how to code yet, so there's that too!
This makes it double interesting! Besides your newsletter, don't forget to update fellow IH in here with your progress :)
Will do!
Have signed up :D
Thanks Charlie, I appreciate it!
Really nice design. I signed up.
Thanks!
