Show IH: Unblock Google Analytics with Bulletproof-Analytics

Hello Indie Hackers Community,

a month ago we have found an article that stated that your Google Analytics might not track up to 78% of users. This might even distort trends on whether your company is growing or not. (for reference: https://www.tallprojects.co.uk/articles/google-analytics-is-lying-to-you/)

We decided to solve this problem. May I present to you our landing page: https://www.bulletproof-analytics.com 🎉

We would very much appreciate your feedback. Is the landing page understandable? Does the offer seem interesting to you?

My adblocker/chrome is stating this in the console "Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT (www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js:1)", so my main question is: does your product actually work?

    1. 1

Hi Theo, our product prevents the script you have mentioned from being blocked by any adblocker.

Have you integrated the free test script? The purpose of that script is to analyse how many of your users are being blocked. So you can decide whether it makes sense to buy Bulletproof Analytics. It does not prevent your analytics script from being blocked.

Won't this stop working as soon as ad blockers add your script to their blacklist?

    1. 1

      Hi, Steve

      1. We will provide a unique script URL per customer. It is highly unlikely that this domain ends up on a blocking list.

      2. If you are using cloudflare we will soon be able to use your own domain to disguise analytics traffic.

I think the landing page is clear but that price is REALLY high for your lowest tier. I personally wouldn't pay you that much since I don't know you/your company. The 30 day guarantee is nice but that isn't long enough to make sure that you can provide what you say you can long-term.

Hi! Thank you for that feedback. We have chosen that price for several reasons:

      a) Providing an infrastructure that can reliably unblock analytics for high traffic websites requires more than just hosting a script somewhere. We are building an automated system that automatically adjust capacities and registers new domains for rerouting analytics traffic.

      b) We want to focus on companies that get the most value out of analytics. These are mainly ecommerce websites, SaaS products, or anyone who spends a lot of money on acquiring traffic onto their website (e.g. adsense). Asking for a higher price let's us provide the support we think is needed to reliably unblock analytics.

      c) Having few customers reduces the attention, that adblock companies will give us.

Having said that, we are still in our very early stages. And we might adjust our pricing structure. How much would you be willing to unlock analytics?

Your telling customers they can't see the data but your value proposition is severely lacking. How am I going to get a return on using your service? How can you better convey that on the home page.
