Show IH: Would love your feedback on FitMyTime - a marketplace for 1:1 online fitness & yoga classes

Hi all,

I built www.fitmytime.com with a purpose to connect trainers and trainees from around the world for live online one-on-one fitness and yoga classes.

Unlike the majority of online fitness portals, we offer live and not pre-recorded lessons.

My aim is (1) - To enable people to exercise with a personal trainer from the comfort of their home - anywhere, anytime.

(2)- To give instructors a simple and effective way to expand their work opportunities.

The business model in commission based (no subscription fee for teachers).

Since I launched a few months ago, over a 100 instructors signed up.

I'd love to hear your feedback and advice on how/where to get customers, best practices for this stage or any other thought you may have. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thank you!

I think it's a great idea. I guess the next step is to replace the google doc with a profile section inside the app? That would streamline the process.

Thanks Bruno! You mean the application form for new instructors? It's not part of the profile section because I decided to create a vetting process before allowing new instructors to join the platform and offer classes. So after they fill out the form and finish with the vetting process I unlock the "offer an online class" tab so the next time they click it they can create the class inside the app. Hope this explanation makes sense ;)

Yes, makes sense. It would be great to keep the same UI for that process and don't redirect users to a Google doc. I think it would remove some friction.

Yup, agreed. Though the main challenge at the moment is not the supply side of the marketplace, it's the demand side. Will definitely remove the form later on.

Change your headline. Focus on the benefit to the customer. Trainers will follow the money.

    "One-on-one personal training, anytime, anywhere."

"We bring your favourite trainers and classes to you, wherever you are, whenever you want it, live, and all online. No recordings. No excuses.

    Book your first session now."

What are you doing to attract customers?

Thanks for the feedback Craig! The alternative headlines you suggest do sound more appealing - thanks for this!

Up until now my focus was on getting the teachers to sign up which wasn't easy at first.

So far I promoted on Instagram and some Facebook groups - Not paid advertising. Most teachers also promoted it a little bit on social media when they joined the platform. Haven't decided what strategy to proceed with in order to bring customers.

    So, these aren't group classes?

    1. 1

Nope. It's for one-one-one private classes.
