struggling to create landing pages.

Hello guys, I am in the process of creating four landing pages for each of our services. All related to Instagram marketing. Currently doing copywriting myself and hired a graphist for the visual part.

I would love to hear some advice on this matter. Are there any particular source or tool that help me do this better?

Thank you all

I always refer to this guide. Awesome resource in my opinion

    https://www.julian.com/guide/growth/landing-pages

    1. 1

Oh, thank you! seems to be an interesting resource and I was looking for this kind of material.

    2. 1

      This is awesome! Thanks!

    Juan, short answer: Thrive Themes.

More: From looking at some other comments, it sounds like you are going for keyword pieces (SEO + content marketing) as opposed to landing pages or funnels. The first thing I would do is pause for a few hours and go through the following exercise:

--write down a few bullets about what makes me unique - as you develop your material, you want to state and restate this in different ways and weave it into the overall fabric of the content

--look at what my competitors have done, analyze it, and see where the strengths and weaknesses are, then make my content better

--if they write 700 words, write 1200 and make it rich content to really add value to the reader. Link out to other internet resources and sites that have high domain authority to give your pieces link juice.

--when you look at the competition, I would do it from two angles, the first are those known to me in my space that others will probably view as my competition, and second is by keyword research to see what kind of SEO and linking they have, and then go after those links and KWs.

--lastly, to really get the best bang, I would plan out my related content for each pillar. Think of it as a tree, your main pieces (the four) are the trunk, and the branches and leaves are all the related content. You can build this content plan out and schedule it for regular production and posting over the next 3-6 months.

All of this (and lots more on the SEO preplanning front) will help your readers and future target audience, as well as build domain authority and position your site and product to do well in SEO.

Finally, I do think you will want to build specific landing pages and test them. Also, consider building out a giveaway campaign (3 part funnel for that -- landing page with offer for shares, go deeper for deeper offer and bonus chances to win, then a step deeper for more) and provide tiers: 10 signups = x reward, 20 = y, etc so that if they don't get the grand prize, they know they get something for sure. Use PPC to drive traffic to it and it becomes a viral loop.

Happy to discuss all this with you and help in any way I can, just say the word. -James

Hello James, valuable advice, thank you so much for mentoring me. I'll try to go in this direction.

User https://www.launchaco.com/ , not getting paid to say this but this the best Landing page till date i have used and i have used alot of them.

    1. 1

      Thanks for your suggestion.

  4. 2

I'd say go for a dedicated landing page tool like Leadpages or Unbounce.

They offer pretty extensive templates , that could save you a ton of time.

I did this page last week in a few hours (excluding copywriting) with Leadpages. They have a pretty simple drag-and-drop editor: https://try.informizely.com/popupsurveys/

    1. 2

I liked your landing page, seems professional and converting.

I think this would be the way if I had to create many landing pages, however, I just need 4 pages.

      Thanks for your help.

What are you struggling with, Juan? Different struggles will have different recommendations.

    1. 1

Thanks for your comment. I am mostly struggling to write the suitable content in the right format. I run out of idea and cannot write enough copy for a cornerstone article (Yoast recommends it to be at least 700 words).

      1. 2

Ah! I see. So from my understanding, your cornerstone content isn't your landing page. Cornerstone content is generally a long-form article about a specific informational topic that you're aiming to rank highly in search engines. So for example, a piece of cornerstone content for you could be "The ultimate guide to growing a following on Instagram." This article would be 1,000+ words (ideally longer) with a TON of helpful information for readers. It would also link out to other blog posts on your website - maybe a shorter article about how to make quote images for sharing on Instagram. The aim for this content is to rank in search engines for common queries (eg. how to grow instagram following) so that new prospects find your website, begin to trust your brand, and can eventually purchase your product.

The landing page, on the other hand, is aimed at converting trusting readers into paying customers. There generally doesn't need to be as much info on the landing page because the customers are already familiar with what your product does because of the other content on your website. Readers/potential customers will find the landing page via links from your cornerstone content.

        Does that help at all?

        1. 1

Yes, sure. Thank you for the explanation, it's all now more clear for me.

I do need to rank my landing pages for relevant keywords, so I would like to have a longer content even though I'm now more aware of the landing page role.

The main problem now is that I do not have such a cornerstone articles so that would be the next project.

"Jobs To be Done", understand that, and you'll understand everything. Google is your friend here.

  9. 1

    Wordpress + Elementor.

Apparently webflow is great but I've never used it and it has less plugins obviously.

  10. 1

    Hey Juan,

I’m curious, did you start Instavast last month and are already at 20k MRR? If so, comgrats man.

    1. 1

Hi Daniel, no! We have started Instavast 11 months ago! I just submitted the product here one month ago!

      1. 1

Nice work man, you guys are doing great.

There’s one thing I want to say, Facebook has actively been shutting down services similar to this one (auto follow and autoDM) so make sure you’re putting in some contingency plans down for when you grow large enough and end up on their radar.

        1. 1

          Thanks!

Yeah, we are doing our best to stay out of radar! 😂

          1. 1

            Haha, good luck.

I just looked at your pitch deck, if you don’t mind my asking, where did you promote the service to get 3,000 visitors I’m the first month?

            1. 1

              Sure.

I've been working on reddit, quora and blackhatworld in the first phase of promoting.

              1. 1

Nice one man, again, keep up the good work.

                1. 1

                  Thanks, you too.

Thank you, Robin, I'll forward your message to our graphist, hopefully, she will be inspired!

  12. 1

I would say use a free template from google. Like 1 template for each page or you could use the same template for each pages

  13. 1

Hey Juan. I've got a book on the topic if you're interested. If you want more specific advice don't hesitate to shoot me a message with a link to your landing page and I'll see what I can do. ;)

    1. 1

Hi David, your book and its landing page seem promising. I haven't created the page yet, once it's done I will seek your advice. Thanks for your offer.

For layout this is a handy resource - http://www.black.design/messaging/

Out of interest, why are you creating four different landing pages for services? Is it to run targed ads to?

    1. 1

such a simple and interesting tool, it will be useful for me, thanks a lot.

Because each service is separated and I'll need to have a page ranking for corresponding keywords. And yes, I have plans to run AdWords campaigns. At least for two of four services.

  15. 1

We just switched to webflow.com from our previous custom react serverless website. I would highly siggest a tool like Webflow or Wix.

    1. 1

Shar, I'm looking at those two options two. Can you share a little about what you liked about Webflow over your previous option? I have a tech background so comfortable with either but just a little concern about vendor lock-in with webflow.

    2. 1

      Thanks for the suggestion.

  16. 1

Take a look at Figma. It is great for web page designing.
