Hey Indie Hackers,
I just launched my website last week and will launch the product in a week or two.
In the meantime, I was looking for ideas to drive traffic and build a pre-launch list.
Obviously, there are paid methods - Google ads, Facebook ads etc.
However, do you guys have any suggestions to drive relevant free traffic in the early days?
The product (https://www.indexframe.com) is around helping people improve their communication skills. The tool uses AI (not the fake buzzword kind, but actually have built our own machine learning models) to analyze video of a person and provide feedback.
Look forward to suggestions to drive pre-launch traffic.
Thank you,
Salil
I think content marketing could be a good fit. You would write articles about related topics like "How to improve your communication skills", "How to improve your interview technique", etc. which would drive traffic to the site, where you can upsell your product.
Hi Steve - I spoke to a few people about content marketing and they mentioned it takes a long time - 6 - 12 months for the traffic to really start flowing in.
What has your experience been?
I've heard answering Quora questions can be helpful to people as well as help get people to look at your product.
Good suggestion. Thanks Austin.
