🥁 Tell IH: 9 months update + Video about our Productized Service!
Hey IH,
Thought I'd share a quick update of how things have been going on with my project.
9 months ago I was just 🎒backpacking in Africa and Asia and had no job and really had no idea what I wanted to do.
However when I needed to make money I just looked at a problem I had for a long time: Finding and working with great designers, quickly threw a page online and got started. I documented my process extensively here on IH!
Since then, we got to 💸 $41k in MRR (here is a screenshot from this morning: https://imgur.com/a/MEIpCkO ) and worked on a lot of cool stuff!

- 🆕 New platform to better collaborate with designers. Here are a few screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/OUGvdCW
✅ Design quality will be higher. Platform will help match better expectations.
✅ Faster turnaround. Instead of a daily update (like now) you might have 8, 12 hours updates and will be able to see item per item which part of your design is being worked on.
✅ Pay-as-you go system. You'll be able to top up your account with credits ($50 to $1000 worth of credits) and just pay for the design you need (The subscription system will still be available though!
😍 New services: We will be offering 1 to 2 seconds Facebook ads + also provide all pages we design in Animaapp / Zeplin so you can see how it would look like if coded (+ it will be easier for your dev to code it)
- 🙌 New team.
We've hired an in-house team of close to 30 people and 10 more people are joining us in the next month. They are all based in 🇮🇩 Indonesia and doing killer jobs.
Bonus (for them): We also pay them really high salaries (sometimes twice as the local salary) + finance them a MacBook Pro. Since we started we've paid out more than 💰 $100k in designer fees.

Unfortunately, I did not have a very good experience with your service, let me explain the reason behind this below. I have a vast profile of clients waiting for ongoing landing page designs, I read your article on here about your business and passed it over to some of them.
One of my partners contacted your guys over at ManyPixels, he asked about talking with a designer or someone that can simply confirm a few questions about ongoing designs, and was told the following:

After you subscribe to our service, you can talk with the Project Managers for your submissions

What I don't like about this is that it screams (PAYS US FIRST). I'm sure you're aware questions need to be asked beforehand in many cases, and in this case in particular we needed answers since the designs required some programming too, and the actual designs needed to be checked in regards to your TOS a well potentially.
As you can imagine we were not very impressed by this response.

Yup, awesome feedback. Our current onboarding process is broken and we have no real processes yet to handle customer service well.
Working on this though and we should see some improvements in the next weeks!
