I might have found this at the right time for my bootstrapped startup.
Btw, your web copy on the site "...Find the right mentors by searching for the tools that've mastered", did you mean "they've"?
(See, I have already internalized your advice from your post :D)

I'd be happy to learn more about your startup you're working on. Got a few Growthmentors from this community who are waaaay more experienced than me and I'd love to connect you with them.
Hit me up via email or just sign up and I'll find you :)

Beautiful post man -- with you on this 100%. I would echo your comment that making content and referencing the awesome works of others is helpful. And, in addition to Twitter (don't call me crazy), take a good look at YouTube (if they are on there) and interact with their videos in a meaningful way. A lot of really good folks have small followings there an will be grateful to see you regularly supporting them.

Yea I agree with you on youtube. My best copywriter I've been using consistently for years has a youtube channel and I want you to look at the views/comments ratio. It's off the charts. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf8tq5GX-wZCrXYllLLBfFw

Hey a big thank you! I got this advice at a time when I was struggling to have backlinks for our blog posts for our early age startup. You are very right when you say personal outreach email doesnot work any more and you need to invest in making the real connections. True, its time taking but once you are there surely going to reap the benifits.

The thing with doing it the right way is you have to be consistent and you have to stay genuine. It might take 10 months, but at one point, everything will just start falling into place and you'll think "WTF IS HAPPENING?!" - but it's not just one small/specific thing.. It's all the work you put in the previous 10 months that was fermenting in the background. Stay consistent, be genuine, and resist the temptations to take shortcuts that might jeopardize your brand.
Great advice!
And really curious about www.growthmentor.io
