Thank you! I was afraid it would be a bit too long, but I had soo many things to tell!!

Awesome work, Cyril. I've been following your work on PDFShift ever since you first wrote about it on IH. Question: Yo talk about using Amplitude and "server-side" analytics in your web-app, how exactly is this done? are you using the HTTP request methods to avoid Javascript blockers (in the SDK installation)?

Thank you :)
I send to Amplitude a POST requests with a list of events I want to track (done async with a queue system in place). And create charts on my Amplitude account to view what I want to view (users creation, numbers of generation, etc.) It depends on your business but you can define key things to track and check their evolution :)

Thanks for the reply, so you don't use the JS SDK, and use the HTTP request route to avoid the blockers?
1
Indeed, and because most of the things I track are made server side.

Thanks for the article.
What are you using for your signup / pdf conversion charts ? A custom backend or a SaaS tool ? Thanks

I'm using Amplitude! It tracks everything you send them and convert them in a nice dashboard with all the metrics you want :)

Yo great write up. I love that you hit up Hoover :)

Thank you! I'm not a native english so it's possible that I've made some mistake. I also verify my writing with Grammarly (this is so helpful!).
Yeah, I would have hoped that @rrhoover answered, but that was part of the game :)

Haha, I missed your tweet! I'm not seeing all my @mentions now days. :(

@rrhoover Ahah that's awesome :) I'm curious and have to ask now, what would have you answered? Nothing at all, truth or dare?
Awesome! Good luck on the launch! And one thing I recommend you, is to find a top Hunter on PH to hunt it for you, you will have more chances to be featured.

Thanks @cnicodeme , I will need to get one and working on that right now
