Hey all, we just launched Recapped.io on AppSumo last week and it's been craaaazy (hundreds of paid users and support questions).
What tools do you use to easily put together an FAQ, or Getting Started Guide?
Ideally something cheap or free, but also professionally branded. We could do it natively through our website, but figured there might be something already out there.
Don't want to use Google Docs for obvious reasons.
If you have hundreds of paid users, why not use Intercom knowledge base? It's $49/month. Affordable for a company that's generating revenue.
Perfect - we're applying for Intercom's Early Stage application anyways. I'll go with this option. Thanks
I built a "small" documentation section on my website with static HTML. At 7 small pages, it's already close to unmanageable!
Someone on IH posted about a markdown-based document generator a few days ago, but I don't think I could dig it up easily now.
Like @infinitone mentioned, I looked it up and docusaurus looks pretty cool.
I'm building some organization/productivity software, so I'm probably going to try to dogfood it by generating docs based on data in my app and using the API :)
I'd go with mkdocs.
It's similar to a static site generator and has client side search.
Well... if its just a simple one pager, then just add a section or a page on your site. Then as you grow and need many pages for docs, then use: https://docusaurus.io/
Its free and open source.
