What steps should i take for my SaaS ? I am in the middle of development
Hello all.
First of all i would like to say that people who are makers inspire me a lot and this community has the best of them .I greet you all and wish i can get some feedback for my very first product.
I am working on a product which will help people to track their tasks and collaborate. My concept is quite specific. People as individuals are working on their laptops/desktops and do a lot of browsing where they come across various websites which they bookmark it for later use .Quite often when people are away or involved on something else then they easily forget about the ideas that they might have had while researching on any particular topic . It's difficult to find where they left behind and what ideas they had been passively gathering (If they are not using anything in particular).
TaskChamp (Webapp/Mobile App) will help people to stack these ideas / bookmarks and make notes of it.Share it with team as a part of Tasks/Projects on the app.This has been a personal problem during the time i self-taught myself to code(I am still) but getting good at it .
My plans are for freemium and premium versions. Do i need to spen some $ on marketing or what best can i do considering that i don't have much to spend on anything apart from server charges ?
Also is revealing ideas a good thing like i just did ? I am a noob so please don't mind if i said something wrong

Your idea is interesting, but to answer your last question first, it's really a question of executing on it, so don't worry too much when talking about it.
The technical execution is important, but keep in mind differentiation happens also in terms of marketing (your audience / niche), and the final shape of the product.
Leading me to a question, do you have some validation on your problem from potential users?
And regarding the applications you are building, have you shared your concept before with someone who identifies to the problem you are trying to solve?

I am yet to validate this . My plan is to develop the MVP , market it and get the response of the users. I couldn't find any best way to do other than this.
I've myself faced this problem when i had been researching a lot while learning development. Also task tracking and collaboration is a well known area which still requires a lot of different ways of dealing with the daily work process of teams and individuals. Every now and then i hear about new apps for this category so yeah, this led me to try and approach this in a different way.
