What technical podcasts are you listening to?

I just realized that podcasts were liked 50/50 among our team--was sure most devs/builders were regular listeners.

I think the podcast format is great for absorbing information in a different way / optimizing mundane tasks. So I put together a list of podcasts for frontend devs, with a focus on JS:

16 Hand-Picked JavaScript Podcasts Still Running in 2018

But I'm open to adding stuff on there and discovering new shows of course!

So, what technical podcasts are you guys listening to?

Thanks for sharing! Syntax.fm has been a recent discovery for me and is really well done. I haven't heard of many of the other ones. Are the episodes there just the latest ones or hand picked episodes that you think are the best?

I tried to hand pick ones that were both recent and helpful! We sponsored syntax a while back with Snipcart, and I'm super glad to have supported Wes and Scott.

https://darknetdiaries.com/ - True stories from the dark side of the Internet.

Not exactly technical, but it is about the internet and is currently one of my favorite podcasts.

Oh this is definitely going on my personal list. Thanks.

https://softwareengineeringdaily.com/category/podcast/ is good, though I don't listen everyday (that's way too much to cover).

Most podcasts that I listen to don't deal with technical stuff at all.

Yeah I'm amazed people are able to handle daily releases TBH. Would be curious to see how engagement compares vs weekly shows.

Yakshave is new and I think quite good: Sean and Sam are finding their feet a bit still but I think it’ll settle down into a regular, interesting listen: http://yakshave.fm/

Sean used to host the bikeshed, which is now hosted by Chris from Thoughtbot. Not quite the same as it was but lots of interesting chats with other Thoughtbotters: http://bikeshed.fm/

Full Stack Radio is a pretty eclectic one I’m just getting into: http://www.fullstackradio.com/

I'd still recommend going through the bikeshed archive- lots off cool stuff in there.

Loving the name + logo, will try it out!

Twenty minute VC: by Harry Stebbings

(Not as technical as other podcast, but as far as identifying problems before code and how investors - who sometimes have their start as technical founders - describe the use case for enterprise in SaaS startups)

    There's podcast.init (https://www.podcastinit.com/)

Really nice guests with applicability to python but also new and cool use technology in general.

I'm not even a PHP developer, but I really like The Laracasts Snippet

https://changelog.com/podcasts has several technical podcasts organized by theme, I listen to the AI one sometimes

    Does MastersOfScale count? 😛
