What's your idea of the perfect Indie Hacker Meetup?

With thanks to @tobins for organizing the first official IH Happy Hour in Los Angeles last month, we're looking for fun and engaging ideas for ongoing/future meetups!

Organizers of previous IH meetups:

What have you done in the past to drive good conversation and connect attendees? Were they well-received?

Indie Hackers:

Other than a little fresh air and good beer, what would make a meetup event truly beneficial for you?

We're tossing around the idea of a quick 3 minute show and tell with a projector, so hackers can show what they're working on and get casual feedback (a little different than "pitching"). Thoughts?

Other ideas include:

• Breakout groups for X amount of time to discuss pain points and gather feedback

• Guest speaker(s)

• Unique/exclusive venues

If you're in the LA area, join on us on the 12th at Firestone Walker! (See sidebar)
