Hey friends,
We are going to launch our startup on PH. I read and digged lots of things about a successful launch, but i wonder if you have a secret weapon or discovered a special pattern for it? All feedbacks are welcome. ;)

Your product must be in the typical PH niche (i.e some hack, something made with a spreadsheet, or something to do with nomads).

All other advice you read about!

Thanks @dolympi, we've already built our product. I think it's a useful & free platform for PH users but we'll see.. ;)

If there is a similar product that was launched on PH, you can find their upvoters on Twitter and get their feedbacks/upvotes;)

@leventaskan yes, we collected a user list for that. Good point. ;)

I just added something to PH yesterday. Ended 4th of the day (with fairly low numbers of upvotes).
What I kept in mind:
post just after midnight SF time (though algo is smarter—so you'll see fewer upvoted products ranked higher)
make a custom thumbnail (don't need to overdo it like I did)
create and add clear images to explain your product
tell a story in your first comment, something personal, something people can relate too
reply to comments (pretty sure this is taken into account in the algo).
Good luck!

Used these pointers again and got me a #1 spot so far. Of course product just has to fit within PH audience too.

Hey @eelcoj thanks very much, really good points to keep in mind. ;)

The message is your weapon.

hey @ItaloCampilii thanks, thats cool, what makes a message more sharp/powerful? :)
2
Low barrier to entry, I don't want to sign up or download things unless it's extremely compelling :-)
1
Absolutely right @cam, it's totally free, even no user registration needed. :-)
2
Have a good product :).
Also, add:
• good images
• interesting and clear description
• invite any questions - be active as part of the discussion surrounding your product

Hey @TonyMaguire thanks for your help. You are exactly right. Did you experience any 'special action' that works on PH?
