will you pay me $5/mo to receive best side project ideas of the month and execution plan

Hi IH,

will you pay me $5/mo to receive a newsletter consisting of the best side project ideas and success stories?

  1. 7

No. There are plenty of websites that provide "success stories" and as for ideas.. Well it also depends on what sort of ideas would you provide? In what niches? Would they be only SaaS based?

  2. 4

Why would I pay for ideas? Ideas are worthless.

  3. 4

No. But I would pay more than $2 or $5, there is an increase of $3 between the title and the post :), if you could put me in touch with people with problems and money to spend to solve those problems.

For most developers, ideas are the easiest step. Execution is hard, but finding people with problems to solve and money to spend, that is even harder.

  4. 3

No, I've tried similar sistems before and some ideas are out of my interest, like "dog sitting app", you should verticalize a little bit, otherwise is too much general, in the end.. noise in my inbox

  5. 2

Sadly no because there are plenty websites where people can get ideas from but the toughest part is the execution.

Maybe you could give the ideas list for free and make money from ads or charge a fee to create a MVP or provide a part (design, front-end or back-end) of the idea.

Let's say you give out an idea to create a invoices management system for hotels only. You could offer to do the design for the platform for a fee and the buyer would need to find the development team to finish the product or you could maybe assist in finding the dev team.

  6. 1

And what do I do with your ideas?

I would pay (and a whole lot more) if you showed me, with proof, a place where people in a certain vertical are discussing the real issues they have in their business. What fire they put out. What keeps them awake at night.

  7. 1

If you could show that users are interesting in paying for your ideas, I would be curious.

I come up with ideas all the time, but figuring out which ones are good ideas is difficult.

  8. 1

No. Lots of those websites and it isn't a problem to be solved for me. Like I've never thought, "Darn, I just don't know what the best side project from the end of September is."

  9. 1

Would you be adding a free but important service to what you are offering? Such as "teaching a new tech stack".

      @Ben270 yes ofcos

  10. 1

No, but I would read your blog post with like a top five explored in detail.

    1. 1

      Great!

  11. 1

No. Unless the $5/mo includes implementation of the idea.

    1. 1

Yes if it includes a global standard hosting package for me.
